What are our functions? What should we do as the Church of God?
... you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
1 Timothy 3:15
Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness:angel:."
2 Timothy 2:19
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. Hebrews 3:6
you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy :angel:priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5

Ephesians 5:23
Our functions:
(1) And this love is an identifying characteristic of Jesus' disciples. God commanded us to love :hearts:even enemies.
(2) "Do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers," Paul wrote (Galatians 6:10)
(3) Serve one another. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
(3) If we walk in the light...we have fellowship with one another.
(4) Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other.
(5) Pray together. Acts 2:41-47
(6) Encourage one another and build each other up" 1 Thessalonians 4:18
(7) Spur one another on toward love and good deeds," Hebrews 10:24

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God�s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Ephesians 5:19
speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.

(9) Gospel proclamation.
Jesus commands us:
Go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" Matthew 28:19-20
So do you worship God as a part of the Church of God?
Do you pray to God?
Do you love people and enemies?
Do you serve other Christians?
Do you build each other up?
Or are you a "dead" church.
The Son of God says to us-the Church:
I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.
Revelation 3:1
We have to wake up. Sober up. Love each other. Love all people. Repent and abandon our sins to live a godly life. Serve each other. Pray for each other.
The Son of God says:
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent.
Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
