What are your thoughts on the git of singleness?

So the church teaches that many have the gift of singleness, primarily from one passage in I Corinthians 7, verse 7. I know many will go to the Gospels and state that Jesus taught this also; Matthew 19:11-12.

So what are your thoughts on this :toomuch: gift :toomuch:?

A gift or a curse ??? :toomuch:

1 Corinthians 7:7

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that

*** Well Paul is speaking of himself being singleits not recorded in Scripture if he was ever marriedHe was a Warriorand he had choices to makesince being converted he traveled a lot and maybe it just wasnt good for him

Matthew 19:11-12

11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

*** Its difficult for some to receive thisThats why Jesus said is able toCatholic Priests and Nuns are singleand Abbots and Monastics are alsoIts not recorded in Scripture that Jesus was ever marriedSo we as Christians believe and are taught that He never wasJesus did have many women that ministered unto Him and followed Him

*** I myself since the separation/divorce have found that relationships take much energy and time. I study a lot and am not against a future marriage centered on and in Christ Jesushoweverat my age I find not many Gents are real Christians and because of that I am content to be alone and to focus on His WordSpreading the Gospel of ChristHelping the Congregation/Church and the Community. Its not easy being alonehoweverWe are Never really alone now are we? ;o)

X <JESUS>< O is KING of Kings and LORD of Lords!!!
