Even at that time Nicodemus was considered as one of the teachers of the law and still had questioned the Lord about it.... relating to our time..how would you respond to the statement of Christ about being born again? The term 'born again' cannot be found within the context of the meeting between Messiah and Nicodemus. This term 'born again' has been used by a host of people including baseball players ( He been born again,only because a person has begun to hit the ball again)the same goes for any person in this life. Posted : 15 Jan, 2015 08:17 PM hi george.. i really appreciate ur reply.. but i don't believe that KJV is wrong with its translation of the statement " born again"... as to the original greek..genao for born and anothen for again...if the KJV use those....can we say its wrong? but its not the topic here..its not about the word per se..its about putting our shoes in nicodemus situation at that time when he was with Jesus..if that happens to me..what wud my reaction be? My studies in Seminary taught me that this verse does say in Greek, "born from above". Study your Greek and remember that there are far better translations of the Bible than the KJV. If you don't have a Strong's concordance or a Vines dictionary you should have them. You should also have a Greek Lexicon. Bottom line, don't believe everything you read, even when it's in the "Bible". Post Reply

Posted : 17 Jan, 2015 05:00 AM sorry..i don't believe that KJV is wrongly translated.....KJV's interpretation shud not be based on our use of english now...its an old english..at the time of its translation..archaic so to speak...english..i can say is a progressive language and it does change from time to time.. I suppose it's better to choose ignorance than listen to someone who has actually studied Greek and Hebrew. Hmmmm. Ignorance is truly bliss, to those who are ignorant. It's a real pain in the neck to those of us who aren't. It's even worse when you choose a form of ignorance over the expansion of your mind. Post Reply

Posted : 26 Jan, 2015 06:32 PM Christ answered the question once and for all time.You must be born of the Spirit.That which is flesh gives birth to flesh but Spirit gives birth to Spirit.To be born again is to be born of The Spirit.To have your Spirit made alive and the ability to once again communicate with the father through the Holy Spirit.Weather the Greak is better or the KJV is in error,Christ answer remains Truth!The term Born again is a modern day term but it's translated by Christ! You have a heart that in ernest seaks Truth and you Will Find It...It is promised.Beware the so called Bible Scholars.They amplify themselves and taint The Spirit of The Word!..What good is a man who gaineth the WHOLE WORLD yet hath not Love! Being born again means we are once born after the old Adamic nature in sin by our parents. so we live and continue to sin, so when we confess Christ Jesus as a personal Lord and savior we get born again or born from above as others have put it. this means we are born of God being purchases by the new Adam Jesus the incorruptible seed by His precious blood( 1 peter 1:20-25, John 3:1-8) Being born-again has two major symbols, the physical which is baptism(immersion in much water from Hebrew word baptisal) this symbolizes dying to self and sin when immersed and when you come up it news your are new creature. The other symbol as Jesus is being born of the Spirit. This is the seal of our salvation.(eph 4:30, eph 1:13, luke 11:13, john 1:33, john 7:37-39). Hope that helps Thanks all Post Reply
