Salvation :

Hello everyone;
I find that many people are being told that they need to 'repent ' of their sins in order to be saved.
If this is so, then HOW MUCH of my sin do I need to repent of, and when will I know that I have repented enough for GOD Almighty to save me.
This sounds like a lot of work that I must be doing, I thought that when Messiah Yeshua had gone to the cross and proclaimed IT IS FINISHED, that He had completed ALL that was needed for sin to be forgiven
Hebrews 9: 11 - 22
11 But when Christ appeared [as] a high priest of the good things to come, [He entered] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; 12 and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were [committed] under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. 16 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. 17 For a covenant is valid [only] when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. 18 Therefore even the first [covenant] was not inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, "THIS IS THE BLOOD OF THE COVENANT WHICH GOD COMMANDED YOU." 21 And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. 22 And according to the Law, [one may] almost [say], all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
So then SLAVATION and FOERGIVENESS depend upon Messiah, so the question then is this;
Do I need to repent ( CHANGE MY MIND ) about my sin, OR
Do I need to repent ( CHANGE MY MIND ) about who Messiah is, and what He is like.

HELPS Word-studies
3340 metanoō (from 3326 /met, "changed after being with" and 3539 /noiō, "think") properly, "think differently after," "after a change of mind"; to repent (literally, "think differently afterwards").
Repent does not mean that you were going one way, now you turn back and go the other way, as is being told in some circles of Christianity, THIS is WORKS, not faith.
Mark 1:15
Jesus Preaches in Galilee
14 Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
John 3: 14 - 18
14 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Galatians 2: 15- 16
15 "We [are] Jews by nature and not sinners from among the Gentiles; 16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
So then the GOSPEL is not repent of your sins, BUT REPENT of your UNBELIEF , trust Messiah to save you from the wrath of GOD Almighty.
Shalom
