Have you asked yourself, as I have, if it is the will of God to set up an account here and seek a relationship. Is my own desire at the root of this or is it the will of God I search for a relationship.....in my case it is a wife I seek. I have been praying for wisdom in this and was wondering if others have asked themselves this. So how do you feel about it......is it taking things into our own hands .....or is it the will of God? My profile is new......I been on this site for a week now. I would welcome other peoples thoughts on this. Thank You ! God bless you all . Post Reply

Since you are divorced and your wife is a good Christian you must seek to remarry her unless she has remarried or died. If your former wife is not a good Christian you are free to marry another woman but she must also be a good Christian. If you are not sinning because of lust like Paul you should also consider staying single so that you can have more time to do the Lord's work. I Corinthians 7:8,9: Now to the unmarried and widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they can not control themselves they should marry, for it is better to marry then to burn with passion. I Corinthians 7 :10,11: To the married {Believers} I give this command: A wife must not separate from her husband. But if she does she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. {Jesus said that you could only divorce because of infidelity but He also said you should forgive you brother or sister (Which would include your wife) 70 times 7 times!!} Read all of I Corinthians chapter 7!!! In the New Testament looking a woman with lust {As per Matthew 5:27,28} or pre-marital sex is a sin. Post Reply
