Where are the truly Godly women?
Posted : 2 May, 2010 12:34 PM

Sadly all I read on "christian" dating sites is women who love the pleasures and entertainments (movies, cruises, world travel, fashion, ect.) of the world and simply want a man to enjoy these things with them by their side.

Where are the women who are dead to this world and who's sole desire is to live for God and help others? Who meditate in His Word day and night and are fervent in prayer and abounding in good works.

Where are the women who live to the glory of God. Who actually follow the "what would Jesus do" rule. Who would never go anywhere they couldnt take Jesus and would never forsake going where Jesus wanted them to go.

Life is short! Do you want a man to take you to the Bahama's or to the Kingdom of God! I tell you sincerely that 'you cannot have both!' You cannot serve God and your flesh!

A man's primary responsibility is to wash his wife daily with the Word of God and keep her unspotted from the world that she may be prepared at death to enter the kingdom prepared for God's saints.

Where are the woman who only desire this. Not a man who will show her the world, but a man who will show her Christ!

I guarantee that on judgment day no lady will be thinking "I wish my man had taken me on one more cruise." NO they will be thinking "I wish my man had washed me with the true Word of God and prepared me for this eternally important day."

These truly are dark times. But I do believe there are truly Godly women out there.

If this is you and you live only for the glory of God and to do those things that please the Father at all times then please reply to this thread.

I do not not care what your profile is. If your 18 or if your 70 I just want to see some women stand up for true godliness in these last days.

May God be with us and bring Godly men and women together in holy union to produce a Godly seed!

For Him,

Mike

nyanda said..

"it is about walking every step with Christ as though we were in the garden"

You see nyanda, the problem is that we are not in the garden of eden.

If we were and everyone was saved and God ruled the world and there was nothing to do then we could sit around all day and bask in the sun and God's presence.

But this is obviously not the case.

The world is in ruins both spiritual and physical and we are to be "the salt of the earth" . And if the salt has lost its savor (Because its out basking in the sun and not doing its job) then it is good for nothing.

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

This also is the reason Jesus did not come and bask in the sun all day. He spent nights in fasting and prayer and eventually gave his life on the Cross for us and gave us an example that we should follow in His steps.

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

I agree that if sin had not entered the world and we were all sitting around the Garden of eden in righteousness then we may have more hours of just 'chilling'. But this is not the case.

It's just like when it is wartime for a country. The citizens stop the pleasure seeking and get their armor on and go out to battle. If they do not do this then they are unfaithful to their country and will be outcasts!

This same thing applies to Christians in the Kingdom of God. There is a war going on and if you dont put on your spiritual armor and go fight for the Kingdom then you are not worthy of the King.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

May we be found worthy on that day!

Mike

P.S. We are called to an abundant life. The same abundant life as Christ had on this earth. He had no place to lay his head and was hated and murdered by his own people.

May we be blessed with abundance!

Mike,

Asking what you do for fun is not a fatal mistake. I rebuke that in the name of Jesus.

Okay, you believe that Disney World and Carnival cruises and nem are of the world.

ALL of our money should go to the poor and ALL of our time should be spent winning souls.

Is that what you're doing now? Are you here to find a wife?

I don't mind the attention, but River and Nyanda make good points.

Your position is extreme, in my opinion. Your zealousness is commendable, but again in my opinion, misplaced.

Remember to eat the whole loaf (whole Bible), you re not in a position to judge other people's lives. You can pray, again, in love if you believe us ll to be in error.

Wait a minute, are you at the library? You know all that money you spent on that computer could have been given to the poor. Don't be mad at me, I'm just messin' with you.

i hear you brother, i'm not gonna debate you. i already said my piece.

but i would exhort you that i have witnessed a lot of what is manifesting in your post toward babygurl, it has not proved for fellowshipping and brotherly love thus far and i would like to ask you to please state your position in a less condemning way. and if you cannot, then please just pray for the other person. the will of God is that none shall perish but all shall be saved. please keep this in mind when you begin to write a post also that there is therefore now no condemnation.

You better preach Nyanda! :applause:

Thanks for having my back, you my girl! :dancingp:

But you know I'm loving it, so I'm cooler than a fan. :rocknroll:

My main concern is that it is so easy to slip into self-righteousness and begin to judge others because we don't think they are up to snuff with where we are.

We'll be judged with the same judgment we mete out, so....it's important that God's love rule and reign in our hearts.

I have gotten prideful before and was so graceful for God's mercy in making me aware and giving me the chance to humble myself. :peace:

That's exactly it! Don't want to be a cougar! As hard as I probably come off, it hurts me to turn young guys down. I feel like I'm hurting their pride no matter how nice I am about it.

I'm about to change it, I was thinking about that very thing earlier anyway.

Mike: You said

"Which does our heart delight in ? A cruise to the bahama's or a trip downtown to drop off some food and clothing to the homeless and show compassion and share the gospel with them? "

Brother, this is one of your "fatal mistakes" (your phrasing, not what I would choose to call it). God gives different gifts to different people. It is a fact that not all of us are gifted (or CALLED) to hand out food to the homeless in a big city somewhere.

Brother, the other lovely ladies made some very good points already that you have rejected. Your view of the qualities of a godly woman are, in my opinion, judgemental and narrow. What about the truly spirit-filled, sold-out-to-God woman who is raising small children by herself? Would you call her ungodly and worldly just because she cannot devote her day to prayer and scripture reading and studying, and her nights to feeding and comforting the homeless?

To see things like cruises and dancing and traveling and other things in profiles..... and judge and label those women un Godly is very narrow and judgemental. You are judging and passing sentence on someone based on a few words on a computer screen that struggle to convey the whole woman and everything she is.... in just a few sentences that hopefully catch someone's attention. You never give her a chance. Please, brother, consider looking with love on the profiles you view, and let God lead you as to whether to contact someone. God bless your search.

godslamb,

I understand your concerns.

I believe a love for God will be evidenced by a passion for the things God loves. This is all.

If you love the Detroit Red Wings you will talk about them all the time, you will have bumper stickers, flags, watch all the games, know all the stats, ect. Everyone will know that you love the Red Wings.

The same goes for love for God. If you love God you will talk about Him and His Word constantly. You will raise up a banner for Him, you will know His Word and meditate in it day and night. You will as the psalmist say " I have treasured your Word more than silver or gold or precious stones"

Your main interests will be the Kingdom of God and finding out what pleases the Lord.

As fo the women with the small children. I understand. I myself am raising a 2 and 6 year old by myself. It is hard and I wish I could get out more. But it is a ministry in itself to raise the children in the ways of the Lord and raise a godly seed. I see nothing wrong with this.

But as a Christian I have put to death the desires of my flesh that contradict those of the kingdom. Take for example:

I love motorcycles! My flesh would really want a Harley Davison mortorcycle and and to cruise around the country traveling and sight seeing.

But, is this what God is calling me to do with the time and money he has given me?

What does it mean to "deny oneself and take up ones cross" ?

Is there no denial of the pleasures of this world in order to take on the work of God? There must be.

We are all growing. And forgive me if I have sounded judgmental. I am asuming that "Godly" means "like God" or "Like Christ".

It is my belief that Christ emptied himself of His own will and desires to live for others and those who are "Christ Like" or "Godly" will be doing the same.

May we all come into the unity of the faith and unto the fullness of the stature of Christ. God knows I myslef have a long ways to go, yet I am striving!

God bless,

Mike

HELLO EVERY ONE... :applause:

MY NAME IS ANGEL IM 24 YRS OLD AND HAVE BEEN ENVOLVED IN CHURCH ALL MY LIFE I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN THE SAME CHURCH.

I CAN REMEMBER WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I WOULD DO ALL THE "GODLY" THINGS I WAS INVOLVED IN MINISTRY IN MY CHURCH EVERYTHING FROM SINGING IN A CHRISTIAN BAND TO HELPING IN THE CHURCH CLEANING AND HELPING WITH THE KIDS... BUT STILL NOBODY SAW WHAT I WAS STRUGGLING DEEP DOWN INSIDE.

BUT EVEN THOUGH I DID ALL THAT I STILL WASNT GODLY CAUSE I DIDNT HAVE MY OWN PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD I WAS JUST HANGINGOFF THE COAT TAILSOF EVERYONE ELSE. I KNEW WHAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO DO BUT IN MY HEART I WAS FAR FROM GOD.

AT THE AGE OF 18 I LEFT EVERYTHING AND STARTED DRINKING SLEEPING AROUND AND JUST THROWING MYSELF IN EVERY BIT OF SIN I COULD

WHEN I TURNED 21 I GOT TIRED OF ALL MY SIN ANDTHE LYING AND FEELING SO EMPTY AND ALONEI BOWED MY KNEE TO JESUS CHRIST ASKED HIM TO FORGIVE ME. SINCETHAN NOV1ST 2006 IVE BEEN A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN TRYING MY BEST TO BE AGODLY WOMAN,

NOW DONT GET IT TWISTED IM NOT PERFECT BUT THROUGH MY GOD I CAN DO ALL THINGS

SO FOR U TO BE A GODLY PERSON IT IS A CHOICE U ARE TO MAKE NOT BASED ON IF U GO TO ANOTHERCOUNTRY OR WHAT U DO BUT ITS A CHOICE U MAKE TO SERVE UR GOD WITH ALL UR HEART

NOT IF U GO SHOPPING OR TO MOVIES OR TO VACATIONS OR ANY OF THAT (CAUSE I DO ALL OF THAT ) BUT THE BIG QUESTION IS ARE U A TRUE CHRISTIAN "CHRIST LIKE" I DONT WANNA SOUND CHEESE BUT ASK URSELF WHAT WOULD GOD DO IN THIS SITUATION ...

--- UR SIS IN CHRIST ANGEL

"Fun= doing the will of God"....

yes, this is true sometimes... though doing what's right isn't ALWAYS fun.

What you have to remember though.... is that God created this whole world for His glory and for us to enjoy and worship him for creating... but he created things for us because He LOVES us.

Beautiful flowers, amazing landscapes, adorable puppies, powerful thunderstorms... these things are GOOD to like. You can enjoy traveling, experiencing the goodness that God has created... you can enjoy little things like cookies and apples and a cup of tea by a fireplace.... Nothing is wrong with having interests and things you enjoy. God's Will is not ONLY to go run around and preach the Gospel, or ONLY to go overseas as a missionary. A lot of time is spent doing day-to-day stuff, and for some people, their calling is to work at a normal job, and be a light for Jesus at work- and raise kids in a small town, and never go anywhere and not be involved in full-time missions, other than by giving money to the missionaries and praying for them.

If you can't find any good Christian women... it's because your definition of "Godly" might be distorted, or your idea of the Christian life, might be clouded with a bit of legalism.
