How demanding are we really?

After several years of viewing perhaps thousands of womens profiles and sending hundreds of messages to women who's requirments I feel I reasonably meet..still there is little to nothing in the way of feedback and any real long term communication. There's a lot of chit chat back and forth for a few days..mabey a week or so, but people ultimately seem to fade away. Do we just side step deeper hidden agendas and make a flash judgement about a photo. Vast age differences is understandable as is the physical distances between people..but really..if you know you meet the requirements as stated in someones profile and they can see that you do..what's the real unspoken issue?
