Seeking to serve

God made me for the purpose of being a husband and father, him living though me. I simply seek to make myself available to fulfill all his will for my life. I am His, He is mine.

Yet another fine day to serve the Lord. Today, I am working in my home to prepare it for my wife. Making a cozy and comfortable kitchen and dining area that she might serve with joy.

The decor theme is 'coffee'. A mild green base across the floor up to a wallpaper border with various mocha pictures into a very light and inviting green on the upper walls that invite the light to reflect back softly into the room.

Always remembering:

1Pe 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

This afternoon I am traveling north to retrieve a brother in Christ so that we might share in good fellowship for the next few days. House guests are awesome, praise Jesus!

Today was awesome! Spent the day in fellowship with brothers in Christ, sharing in our understanding with one another. Frank and I played a game of chess until Jim came over then we all went and watched End Of Harvest together, discussing it afterward.

It is so nice to open my home up unto others and be able to be hospitable. It is nice to have a home to offer, praise God! Let him be glorified in all.

Many may think it weird but I enjoy breaking out in Hymns in the kitchen while I cook or whatever. Frank seemed to enjoy it. We sat and talked about our favorite hymns and I sang a few as I felt moved to do so.

We serve a great God and I can't wait to hear those words when they come "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God". Unfortunately, Frank is departing for Michigan tomorrow but by the grace of God, I will be going up to Michigan to see Jim next week and fellowship with him in Spirit and Truth!

Anybody like coffee? I know I do. I am dedicating my dining room and kitchen to the theme! It is always nice to share a hot cup of coffee and talk about our Lord with others. I have been in the process of remodeling my dining room and it is so much fun! I have picked out colors for the walls and a border with a coffee theme. I need to get assorted coffee cups and shelving to line the walls along with bean containers for the assorted coffee beans for fresh grinding of grounds.

Half the fun will be the shopping for the new items. Would have been great to spend this time with a wife as we go over all the details of how things will be done but I suppose I will simply have to find one that likes my finished rooms...

Peace and Love in Christ unto all,

About to fall off the first page into oblivion and probably never to be seen again. Farewell my friends! Hehe. I just started this thread to give others a taste of me, who I am in general. I won't be returning to it to add in the future. It has run its course.

Grace and Peace unto you in Christ,

Gary
