OK guys i dont know if this is right place to talk about it but i will go ahead and i will ask... What if we find our soulmate and we lose them without being together. Does that mean shall we not get a true love again? Also one more thing... I dont understand those people who are seeking their soulmate and only allowing people to contact them if they are living in the same state or country. Why do they do that?

I have a few questions:

1. How do you define the term soulmate, at least in rough terms?

At least personally, I tend to think of the term as meaning that there is one, and only one, other person that is "especially made" for you, and for which you're also "especially made".

Even if we go by this definition, of the definition you seem to be using, then if you happen to "miss" this person and never meet, then she could not have been your soulmate, by definition.

In other words, it's not logically possible for someone that you never meet to be the person that you were supposed to meet.

2. From where in the Bible did you get the idea that soulmates exist, at least in the way described above?

I'm not sure the Bible provides evidence to support the concept of a soulmate. It does provide some rules of thumb on how a person is supposed to search for someone else (e.g. not entering an "uneven yoke" relationship --i.e. don't marry a non-Christian) and also explains how people should aim to treat each other (Ephesians 5:22-33)

It seems that people are basically supposed to search for someone who will provide the maximum chance of success and, therefore, the minimal chance of failure.
