Seeking REAL Christian relationships...

My very first message came from a guy (claiming to be a Christian) who after reading my profile, proceeded to engage in conversation with me. He asked me two basic questions and then sent me a message in which he judged me wrongly for my Catholic faith (he read my bio) and finally, he dismissed me like I was unworthy of chatting with him. I thought this was a place to build authentic relationships with other Christians but I have to admit that my first conversation was severely disappointing. Needless to say, I pointed out his judgmental un-Christian attitude and when he continued to message me, I blocked him and deleted our chat thread.

Soooo, if you are a REAL Christian (someone who strives to live the teachings of Christ) let's connect! I enjoy thought-provoking faith based conversations that are kind, respectful, and intelligent.

I'm currently reading The First Society by Scott Hahn. It is a thought provoking read with solid truths and explanations of how we can turn society back to Christianity in this post-Christian world. What are you reading?

Well, as bible reads, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

so you forgive that guy for he doesn't know how unlucky he is. God has someone better planned for you.

He didn't sin against me, he sinned against God. He doesn't know me and was speaking out against the Catholic Church. I don't need to forgive him because it really wasn't about me. He's judgmental so he'll have to reconcile that with God.

I just felt disappointment and sadness for his lack of knowledge about the faith and his inability to love others unconditionally.
