Sorry but I too have to start with the word. That takes precedence over what anyone thinks.



1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV)

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.



BUT LOVE IS NOT JUST SPIRITUAL (AS MANY PRETEND) IT IS ALSO CARNAL OR NATURAL.



Genesis 29:11 (KJV)

11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.



That is some powerful kiss that it made Jacob, a might man of God, cry. One of my favorit scriptures.



In my opinion it is just about impossible to describe what "love" is as it covers so much ground and has so many different types of expressions.



But certainly the greatest expression of that love is Jesus coming to Earth, humbling Himself as an ordinary man and enduring tremendous pain and suffering for our sakes.

God is Love. We become more Godly by loving one another.

Ephesians 4:32-5:2 says,

"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.

And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." (ESV)

Not only are we to love one another but the same words are used to remind husbands to love their wives and not just take them for granted.

The old King James translates love as charity, that is giving expecting nothing in return.

1 Corinthians 13 says " Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

I think "believes all things" means giving grace in your thinking towards someone. Giving them the benefit of the doubt rather than automatically believing the worst about someone.

well,there is that oo-ee goo-ee feeling you get when your attracted to someone in the beginning,kind of a mixture of lust,infatuation....something like that.....but thats not love....true love is a choice.....sometimes you feel it sometimes you dont,but you choose to love that person anyway regardless of the emotions you feel at that moment,truly caring for a persons greater good.the warm feeling you get after work when you pull in and cant wait to share your day with them!

One thing I could say is that; love would be desiring what's best for that person regardless what the out come would be for myself.
