There is always the first point of reference in scripture that establishes a given truth. Such as the following Scriptures it is vital for those in the church that have not been taught the truth concerning the person of The Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, The gift of the Holy Spirit, is a second dispensation of the spirit of god in a believer's life, Tradition and religion teach that when you are born again a believe has all there is of the Holy Spirit, but this is in total denial of scripture and the involvement of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit in this fundamental truth.

The bible was not written to or about people that did not receive The gift of the Holy Ghost, we all need The fullness of the Godhead to complete the plan of God for our lives.

Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Joh 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Lk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The lord established The Church with the Gift of the Holy Spirit in these passages.

Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

Verse fourteen tells us these people had received the word of God, or received Jesus.

Acts 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:

Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Acts 8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

These scripture very clearly illustrate receiving the Holy Spirit after receiving Jesus and yes there is a measure of the Holy Spirit in the new birth, but the fullness comes in receiving the Spirit of truth in his fullness.

ACts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Again we see the clear distinction of receiving the holy spirit after being born again.

Today as you hear this truth open you heart to the truth of this teaching and you will never regret it.
