Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

John 17:1-2 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, (2) "as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

Romans 9:29 And as Isaiah said before: "Unless the LORD of Sabaoth had left us a seed, We would have become like Sodom, And we would have been made like Gomorrah."

{If God had not elected some to salvation, all would be lost; had God not chosen some, none would be saved.}

(13) As it is written, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated."

Romans 11:5-7 Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. (6) And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. (7) What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

1 Kings 19:18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him."

1 Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, (2) elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; (28) and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, (29) that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Acts 15:14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

Acts 22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

John 10:2-3 "But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. (3) "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

Romans 11:1-11 I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. (2) God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, (3) "LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life"? (4) But what does the divine response say to him? "I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." (5) Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. (6) And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

(7) What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. (8) Just as it is written: "God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day." (9) And David says: "Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. (10) Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow down their back always."

(11) I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

Here James it is no open to interpretation:

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this peoples heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Amen JAMES!!!! WOOOO HALELUJAH!!! GOD CHOSE US!! AMEN!!! HAHOOOO!!:yay:

... then AFTER God chooses us:

"Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to ALL men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.

Are you denying ungodliness? Are you denyign Worldly lusts? are you livign soberlly(not of literal wine only, but of lies, false ways, pridefull haughty eyes? Mockery? Fighting? Proverbs 20:1) ARe you Righteous? Are you GODLY?

After God chooses us by bringing His grace to us, we then need to choose to follow Christ from the heart. If we do this one thing, God will do the rest but we must give up our life of selfishness and be led by God. That is true faith and true belief, it comes from deep within our heart.

The prerequisite to Salvation is CONTINUING IN HIM. if you STAY in his GRACE(HOLY SPIRIT OF GRACE) Then you WILL be taught what to do.

But its up to YOU to OBEY what you are TAUGHT. it relys on YOU to continue in him and it relys on YOU to SEEK HIM.

"Then said Jesus to those Jews who believed on him, If you continue in my word[Spirit/Truth], then are you my disciples indeed;" John 8:31

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, [continue to] walk in him," Colossians 2:6

"And now, little children, abide[continue to actively Rest] in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming." 1 John 2:28

'If [IF,IF, IF ,IF] you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." John 8:31

"Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue[Theres that word again CONTINUE] in the teaching[Word/Doctrine/gospel] of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son" 2 John 1:9

ALso LOTS of prayers about PRayign and hoping that those of whom are written to, WILL BE COUNTED WORTHY OF THERE CALLING, maign it out GOAL to PLEASE JESUS. (Collossians 1:10, Ephesians 4:1, 2 Corinthains 5:9, Ephesians 5:10, )

What is WORTHY and pleasing to JESUS...OBEDIENCE. Many thigns that will count us UNWORTHY OF CHRIST(Matthew 10:37-38, ...etc)

IT is UP TO US, to NOT soil ourselves and REMAIN RIGHTEOUS...and SEEK TO BE EVEN MORE RIGHTEOUS.

"'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy" Revelation 3:4

THEY, who have not touched the unclean thing(2 Corinthians 6:17) stayed unspotted, adn ARE the ones who are worthy of JESUS.

Did you know that? ONCE CALLED to GOD by GOD, its up to YOU to remain IN HIM and remain Righteous and SEEK SEEK SEEK his righteousness in every part, every facet of your very existence?

If you DONT continue in him, You will NOT bare fruit...and if you dont bare fruit you are tossed into the fire.

RK thank you for that post, I have been a christian for a long time but it is easy to cunfuse me, and all this talking and twisting is confusing me, here is what I know God is not the author of confusion so I know satan is a liar and I know God wont try to confuse me, I have been going to the same church almost all of my life then I moved to alabama and now I go to a church that felowships with my old church and so I know they teach the same things so no I havent been taught these other doctrines, until I started chatting in this forum I didnt even know that some people didnt think Jesus died for everyone I always said when witnessing "do you know Jesus ave his divine life for you" if what they say is true then what I should be saying is "do you know that Jesus might have given his divine life for you?" WHAT?? no way man thats crazy??lololol it is all very confusing when you though everyone that clamied Christ believed that he died for everyone and also.. it doesnt make sence to me that God would give his devine inspired word and then make it so that you have to be real real smart to figure it out and you have to research the meanings of words in greek and hebrew and find out what they could mena and then decide what you think they mean and that its different than what it seems like it means in the context.. I SAY IT AGAIN NO WAY!! GOD IS ALL MIGHTY AND GUESS WHAT> HE CAN MAKE HIS WORD SO THAT ANYONE CAN UNDERSTAND not just really really smart and educated people like James
