Who says Faith is a Gift: Why Some say that?

The most important topic to a christian would seem to be the most understood, why do we suppose that is?

I thought you would never ask.

Because Faith has an enemy, and that enemy is Satan.

When the bible says to be a doer of the word, that is proof positive of man's faith, that by means is the end of the topic.

Here is an example of the first time that not being a doer of the word is recorded, and the primary enemy of faith is revealed.

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The word of faith said do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we know faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. so we Conclude Adam had heard this for Eve mentionted it to Satan.

The word tells us whatever is not of faith is Sin, So we that acting on the word of Satan as Eve did is an enemy of faith, which is called perverted faith of faith, for Satan's words are always of fear.

Had Adam and Eve told the serpent no and not have eaten the apple that would have been an act of faith or being a doer of the word.

Now in this light we know why it is said that only faith pleases God.

So many times it seems as though some think faith is a general term or believing in Jesus is strong faith, but faith is derived from every word of God relative to what is declared.

So when it is said that faith is a gift and nothing is to be done, that is not a true statement concerning faith.

When the violent taketh by force is a Good illumination towards faith, whatever the word of God says to us must be taken with strong determination, or the enemy will talk you out of it.

Listen to what is said in this scripture, this word of faith, notice who it is to and what action will, bring the declaration of this word into the hearer of this word's ear.

Jn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jn 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The person that will hear this word and believe from the heart and then say it, will receive eternal life and that is that person's faith made known by his action, or response to the word of God.

Here is your first example of this to the church:

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

It is all revealed right here.

Be Blessed in your hearing of the word.
