Confidence in God's best

In a recent conversation someone who themselves had not had any success at marriage claimed that I at 54 I was deluded into thinking that marriage would be possible.



Has anyone had such an experience male or female from a Christian?



This is a first for me and I have never heard anyone speak so negatively thinking that they could predict any persons life so vehemently.



I am wondering if anyone knows of success stories male or female.



I'd love to hear the success stories please.
