Anyone here partake in F@H?

Dose anyone here support folding at home? I been supporting it for years and its rather fun given you get points based on your computers production.



For those that have not heard of folding at home, its a distributed computing project for disease research, manly cancer. It uses you PCs idle resources to preform medical research.



basically you donate you computers idle resources and electricity to cancer research.

It's a worthy cause and I have tried it previously, but my aim is to reduce power usage where possible and this isn't compatible with that. Maybe if I ever get solar panels and start exporting electricity back to the 'grid'?

It sure can draw up power.

I use my pc to heat my home in the winter since it outputs about 500w of heat when F@H is running on it.
