Okay, this is a little touchy, but cmon people we are grownups, and we are humans!God created sex!I like sex!!!!!!I am currently not allowed to have any because my god said i have to be married! No im not a porn addict!I try not to think about it!Watching T.V is even hard for me sometimes because our culture throws it in our face 24/7,come to think of it,i should have posted this in the"ask a guy"section because, men and women have different sexual triggers, mens are mostly visual,we see something we want it!Thats how god created us!I guess i dont really have a question, other than how do other christian men deal with this,and...........well thats it i guess, except to say christians need to deal with this issue,it seams we go out of our way to pretend it doesnt exist,if this offends anyone im sorry,i have prayed for god to take away the desire until im married, that has helped some, but its still on my mind sometimes! IN CHRIST steven

i appreciate the candor of the men who responded to Stephen's statements. I had decided a couple of weeks ago not to respond to Stephen's questions as i, too, would be singled out, making my statement about him... which generally my statements are generic, except this one and i chose to respond.

Stephen, you read like you have alot of Testosterone. Maybe, above average. When i went through menopause (reducing of estrogen production), i noticed this strong sense of "killing" instinct... my thought was if men had to deal with this all the time, how did they control it? Since i choose to go natural, i did not do any medication therapy. I also didn't share these feelings, i thought there was something wrong with me, which was a mistake. i was very angry during this time. Thank goodness, that has passed and i want to share with other women and companion of women to be supportive and get the correct medical attention.

Back to you, Stephen, maybe get yourself checked out physically. Also, i noticed you don't list any sports, etc, in your interest. I think you need to take up kick boxing, or football/soccer, maybe 4xs a week... yes, i can see you work out, but that's not the same thing... it needs to be aggressive. I suspect this is normal for quite a few men, a need for aggressive sports... which is why men are good protectors and providers.

please, don't give me static for my very backseat psychologically doctoring... it's only a thought, that could lead to the correct thought. :peace:

golden, incredible insight, you know i never thought of that!I Have always lifted weights, and when i was yet unsaved,I would go to bars, guzzle beers, and get into fights!God has softened me up some! You would think at my age,my testosterone levels would have waned a bit,but perhaps not as much as some men,Ive grown so much,in so short amount of time,Im the type that,as soon as my head gets too big,god flattens it for me LOL,He puts me in incredible amounts of pain, let me rephrase that,he allows my stupidity to bring pain into my life, wich in turn humbles me,let me tell you,if god wants you,hes gonna have you!no matter what hes gotta put you through to open your eyes!Wow,I just started typing, and got totally off the subject,Oh well,I guess i had some issues on my mind, anyway thanks for the advice, this whole post has been very enlightening! In Christ Steven

Well, the best thing I can tell you, as others have mentioned is to just remove yourself from the temptation. That is the best form of prevention, as well as maintaining a consistent prayer life and getting in the word everyday and letting God wash your mind of all the filth. Being a student at a large southern university that is known for its partying and its large sports programs, I can attest that removing yourself from the temptation is the best way to protect yourself from messing up. Ya'll think ya'll have it bad, try being out number by about 20,000 of the most beautiful women you've ever seen in your life, lol. Our reputation for being a party school was so bad, that our school reps asked the princeton review to stop ranking us in the top party schools section to change our image. I will say that it is hard, it is a struggle, but it is a battle worth fighting. I've gone as far as getting an apartment off campus that is around a 30 min drive away. Reason being, anything within a 5 mile radius of the campus is asking for trouble. I've found myself praying on the way back and forth to class, meditating on God, and praying to myself throughout lectures, and reading scripture on my laptop in between classes to keep my mind free from bondage. You can actually feel the spirtual battle when you set foot on the campus. If your spirit is in tune, you can actually sense the strongholds of satan that dominate the campus atmosphere. I have to tell you, the only thing that keeps me on the right path is maintaining my relationship with God, and staying away from anything that promotes the flesh. I don't attend sporting events, I don't hang out with people I meet, I've lost a lot of friends, and have felt pretty lonely at times, but God has always pulled through and brought joy to my heart. It is by no means easy, especially when it is always thrown in front of your face, but it is a war we must fight, to overcome the wicked, and bless god with our lives. That is what shows a true believer, when you can stand in the midst of temptation and resist the longing to give in. Maintaining a good dose of reality and remembering who Christ is and what he has done for you and where he has brought you from. In all things, God Bless.

A website some of our guy leaders in church suggest the boys check out is xxxchurch.com I know they are not conservative, and aren't backwards in coming forwards talking 'guy stuff' but they have great resources and support for people struggling in this area. Might be worth checking out.

(Maybe you won't love or approve of their methods, but they do a great job helping those that do connect with them. So let's leave the judging to God!)

Hmmmm, we're same - and different! I'll just go from my view. I'm 55, I was married 28 years, in our relationship I was always the hot one and she was the cold one. Now I have 'not been married' for 14 months. It is quite difficult to know something so well and then go cold turkey. I definitely know what I'm missing! Free time is trouble time. I try to stay busy. Tonight I've been on this site for ohhhh about 4 hours now!! (and no, I have not been pestering the ladies!)

I pray for patience and mind diversions. I'll admit to getting into trouble some, but it's when MY way gets in the way of HIS way.

Some insightful lady gave a suggestion for two books to read. I'll have to look into that. At 55? Hey, you're never to old to learn something new!

God bless,

Lloyd

Hey you guys! You are just awesome!...I've met some guys on sites even CHRISTIAN sites who have told me that no man is gonna wait till the wedding nite to have sex...Sometimes I've found that a little discouraging because I will not compromise my relationship with God just because some man want to satisfy his libido...But after reading your comments here I know there is hope of meeting that special guy who loves his God enough to wait until his wedding night...Thanks Guys U are exceptional!!!...AND YES HE WILL GIVE YOU THE STRENGTH WHEN YOU NEED IT!.....

Steven, many of us struggle with this issue, but when we spend time in the word, and take our focus off of worldly things we will in turn be filled with heavenly things. The word says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God... so if you are struggling with a particular area, do not put yourself in a position to be tempted, that means what what you look at, listen too, or even expose yourself to while on your computer. It's a lot easier said than done, but we can do it. Just remove the source of the temptation and you will NOT fall...

Your brother in Christ!

Stephen
