Posted : 1 Aug, 2009 05:03 AM Okay,this is a little touchy,but cmon people we are grownups,and we are humans!God created sex!I like sex!!!!!!I am currently not allowed to have any because my god said i have to be married!No im not a porn addict!I try not to think about it!Watching T.V is even hard for me sometimes because our culture throws it in our face 24/7,come to think of it,i should have posted this in the"ask a guy"section because,men and women have different sexual triggers,mens are mostly visual,we see something we want it!Thats how god created us!I guess i dont really have a question,other than how do other christian men deal with this,and...........well thats it i guess,except to say christians need to deal with this issue,it seams we go out of our way to pretend it doesnt exist,if this offends anyone im sorry,i have prayed for god to take away the desire until im married,that has helped some,but its still on my mind sometimes! Posted : 1 Aug, 2009 06:48 AM it's every where you look. even if you're not watching a movie or a show, it comes up in commercials. you go to the doctors office, and its there in a magazine! it's hard because we do have desires and not able to release it. what helps me Steven, is just looking away, and pray to my Lord and Savior. i ask him to give me strength, not to fall into temptation and to remove the desires of my flesh. I want to be right with God and myself too. i don't want to be in the arms of a man who i am not blessed as one flesh with. self respect--->all the way!!! God Bless, Zoe :angel: Post Reply

HE created love making between a husband and a wife.. also HE created the beginning of new life through those same means. i also find myself wondering why anyone would also have to advertise that they like sex!!!!!!!! im sure with only maybe a few exceptions all folks like and enjoy makin love to their husband or wife.. so i find that was very unnesecery to come to ask a woman and advertise that.. now as to the question you really didnt have.. its not that we pretend it doesnt exist. its just the best way to avoid it is to not think about it..and it is an addiction to some people..so we dont tend to address it often as not to help others stumble.. cause sometimes just by placing a thought in ones minds that wasnt there to start with we help others stumble.. if youre watchin tv and it makes you stumble ,turn it off and pick up your bible. if youre readin a magazine and you stumble then put it down and pick up your bible.. the word of GOD is a powerful tool. prayer is also good. if youre readin the word of GOD its hard to stumble soon after.. cause the word gets written upon your heart and it helps to convict you and to repent.. ole cattle Post Reply

There are some great resources out there that you may want to check out: One of my all time Favs - "Sex is not the Problem, Lust Is" - this book, by Josh Harris, gives totally practical & spiritual advice of how to lean on God while you're struggling & how to overcome. It's an easy read & you can get the book on ebay, very cheap!! *Also, Every Man's Battle is a great one for stories & practical tips & help to maintain your purity. * Just remember, you're not condemned my bro. Jesus understands your desires, he created you with them. Satan has just tried to destroy utterly what God made to a beautiful thing in the confines of marraige. *Just cry out to God bro. He'll meet you exactly where you're at. Kudos to you for staying away from porn, what an awful way to ruin it when you do get married!! Not to nit-pick but, as you suggested 1/2 way into the comment it probably shoulda been taken to the "ask a guy" forum in my humble opinion since the question was posed to the guys. Concerning your comment on cattle's intelligence...he's a country gent and he may be a little ole fashioned and set in his ways but he's anything but lacking intelligence or wisdom brother, might be good to listen to what he's saying here. Posted : 2 Aug, 2009 12:16 AM brothers,This posting has been a blessing to me on many different levels,My first reaction was extreme anger,The accusation made me sound like some kind of sexual predator,wich i am not,if a man stood in front of me an said something to that affect,The old me would have punched him in the face!However,I am not the old me(thank god)The lord has seen fit to flush that ol guy down the toilet!So I did some soul searching and realized that i dont want to be that guy anymore,and it was my pride making me react that way!Pride was and is the sin of satan,wich leads to a myriad of other sins,and is perhaps one of the greatest sins of all!Ole cattle,my remark about your intelligence was uncalled for and admittedly,done out of retribution!For that remark i apolagize,I think this was more a clash of styles and personalities than anything else!This has been a growth expereince for me,and for that i am grateful!Also good advice Jim,there are many wise christians on this site,and i have been greatly blessed by it,With that im going to leave this go,im sure other people are going to weigh in,Im interested in what everyone in the kingdom has to say In Christ Steven Post Reply
