I USED TO BE A REGULAR POSTER BUT DECIDED TO CEASE FROM POSTING GREATLY BASED ON WHAT I BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT WAS TELLING ME. ON THE 29/09/09, AT AROUND 13:00HRS, I FELT THE HOLY SPIRIT URGING ME TO MAKE THIS PARTICULAR POST DESPITE PREVIOUS INSTRUCTIONS AND WHO AM I TO OBSTRUCT THE LORDS LATEST INSTRUCTION FOR ME, LOL. SO HERE GOES.PLEASE BARE WITH ME, THIS MAY BE SLIGHTLY DRAWN OUT BUT IT IS VERY IMPORTANT AND YOU WONT REGRET READING IT.MY POST IS NOT AGAINST WOMEN OR MEN BUT JUST A FEW POINTERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCRIPTURE. THIS POST IS FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN TO READ AND TO POST COMMENTS ON. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO. BASED ON PERSONAL EXPERIANCES, I�VE COME ACROSS SOME MEN AND WOMEN WHO BELIEVE THAT IT IS THE MANS JOB TO PURSUE THE WOMAN AND I HAVE ALSO COME ACROSS SOME MEN AND WOMEN WHO SIMPLY PREFER TO BE PURSUED, WHICH IN BOTH CASES, I BELIEVE IS OK IF CONDUCTED IN FAITH, ACCOMPANIED BY WORKS/ACTIONS FROM THE MAN AND WOMAN, BUT THERE IS MORE TO IT AND YOU WILL SEE WHY AS YOU READ ON. MOST OF THE WOMEN AND MEN I REFER TO, USUALLY QUOTE THE FACT THAT,�he who finds a wife, hath found a good thing and obtaineth favour from the lord�. (PROVERBS 18:22). SOME ALSO STATE THE FACT THAT THE MEN ARE TO LEAD WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCRIPTURE. QUESTION. BROTHERS AND SISTERS, DO YOU SINCERELY HAVE FAITH IN FINDING YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND OR WIFE? I WANT TO REMIND AND OR LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT FIRSTLY,� faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.�(HEBREWS 11:1). SECONDLY,� What good is it, my brethren, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.� (JAMES 2:14-17) ASK YOURSELF TODAY, WHAT ACTIONS/STEPS HAVE YOU TAKEN, TO FINDING YOUR MATE? �Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.�(JAMES 2:21-24) BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WHAT I AM TRYING TO GET AT, IS THAT, WE ALL NEED TO PUT THE WORK IN, UNLESS OUR FAITH IN AND CHANCES OF FINDING OUR WIFES OR HUSBANDS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE QUOTED SCRIPTURE, IS POINTLESS AND HOPELESS. ITS COOL TO WANNA BE PURSUED BUT IF YOUR FAITH IS TO TRULY BEAR FRUIT, YOU GOT TO OPEN UP AND DONT SIT BACK AND EXPECT THE PERSON YOU DESIRE TO DO ALL THE APPROACHING AND ALL THE PURSUING. AS IMPLIED BY THE VERSES ABOVE, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN AND ARE ONE OF THE MAJOR FORCES BEHIND REACHING OUR GOALS, OUR DESIRES AND IS THE ONLY WAY OUR FAITH CAN REALLY BEAR FRUIT. I UNDERSTAND THAT SOME WOMEN AND MEN ARE SHY AND OR HAVE MANY OTHER RELATED REASONS AS TO WHY THEY MAY NOT WANT TO OPEN UP OR PURSUE. MY PRAYER IS THAT WHEN THEIR TRUE AND GOD GIVEN PARTNER ARRIVES, THAT ALL WILL FALL INTO PLACE FOR THEM, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME.AMEN. AFTER CONSIDERING THE QUOTED VERSES ABOVE, MY PERSONAL ANSWER TO MY INTIAL QUESTION, AS MUCH AS SOCIETY MAY DETEST OF, IS THAT, IT IS THE JOB OF BOTH MEN AND WOMEN TO PURSUE AND APPROACH, IN ORDER FOR THE FAITH IN WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN, TO TRULY BEAR FRUIT, THAT IS NOT TO SAY THAT WANTING TO BE PURSUED IS WRONG BUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCRIPTURES ABOVE, WERE ALL GOING TO HAVE TO PULL OUR FINGERS OUT AND GET OUR HANDS DIRTY, LOL, THAT IS IF WE TRULY HAVE FAITH IN FINDING OUR MATES. TWO MORE THINGS, IF MEN WERE SO GREAT AND WERE TRULY DESIGNED BY GOD TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE,MAKE THE APPROACHES AND CONDUCT ALL THE PURSUING, I DONT THINK HE WOULD HAVE CREATED A, �HELPER� (GENESIS 2:18), THAT WOULD HELP, TAKE PART AND ENCOURAGE US, AS WE DO SO. NOBODY�S AN ISLAND PEOPLE, THE MAN AND THE WOMAN SHOULD BE JOINTLY MAKING AN EFFORT. QUIT SCORING POINTS AGAINST EACHOTHER. IN GODS EYES, THE SCORE CHART WILL ALWAYS BE, 0 TO THE WOMEN AND 0 TO THE MEN, TAKE A LOOK AT GALATIANS 3:28 AND YOU WILL SEE WHY. LASTLY, SAY IF THE MAN OR WOMAN THAT YOU FEEL GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO MARRY, IS BLIND, DEATH OR HAS ANY OTHER RELATED DISABILITY THAT MAY HINDER HIM OR HER FROM PURSUING YOU. WHOSE GONNA DO THE PURSUING THEN? OR ARE YOU GOING TO SIT BACK AND REJECT GODS CALLING, JUST BECAUSE YOU WANNA SIT BACK AND WATCH YOUR OWN MOVIE UNFOLD WITHOUT MAKING AN EFFORT TOWARDS ITS PRODUCTION? BROTHERS AND SISTERS,� be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves� (JAMES 1:22). IF YOUR FAITH IS DEAD AND IS GATHERING DUST IN YOUR LOCAL CEMETARY, LOL, AWAKEN IT FROM THE DEAD TODAY, NOT JUST BY MERE WORDS BUT BY ACCOMPANIED ACTIONS. IN ADDITION AND IN MY VIEW, THE ACT OF PURSUING IN COMPARISION TO LEADING OR LEADERSHIP IS COMPLETELY DIFFRENT. TO PURSUE, IN MY VIEW, IS TO TAKE INTEREST IN SOMETHING AND TO FOLLOW UP THAT INTEREST WHEREAS TO LEAD IS TO TEACH, TO COMMAND AND TO BE IN CONTROL. NOTICE THE DIFFRENCE? TO GOD BE THE GLORY. Posted : 30 Sep, 2009 08:40 AM I could not agree with you more...Lately, I been feeling the same...People say they have faith, yet sit back and let time pass. Faith is acting on something blindly...Just as one has to have faith that a marriage would work intimately, one should have faith that the relationship will work.. Unfortunately some believers, want to have faith in one department but not the other...To me FAITH means, that we are confident of what we hope for convinced of what we do not see...That is in my opinion FAITH... Christians, have faith for salvation we have faith for healing, etc, why cant we truly have faith for our partner. You are 100% right. Thank you for sharing Post Reply

Posted : 30 Sep, 2009 12:42 PM Hi everybody...been thinkin about this very subject the last few days...after reading the 1st post, welcome back by the way and very nice to meet you...I have come to a point in my life and journey that even though it is 0/0 on the score card that by having complete (Blind Faith) in our Father to answer our personal prayers, it is a 100/100 in pursuit. If we dont reach for the golden hoop on the merry-go-round of life...we will miss out on the prize...an I dont know bout you all...but I like prizes...:yay: Anywho I know GOD already knows my desires and wants...an also know an have total (Blind Faith) that HE will not just give us what we want...(if it is good for both of us), but more importantly He will give us what we truely need. I've been followin my heart on this site an have met "on line only" some really nice gentlemen. And I will admit I have pursued "on line only" 1 Man after he contacted me with a wink. I took a Leap of Faith and was pleasantly surprised with this person. So I guess my point here is...It shouldn't be a JOB....It should just flow...Its not the distination but the journey and sometimes love comes slowly to those who wait upon the LORD.... :rolleyes: Post Reply

And if they want to but don't they've got no one else to blame except themselves if they're frustrated. This goes for both sexes. It does get frustrating when it seems like you're the only one persueing though. but, oh well it is what it is :toomuch:. Post Reply

Oh wait... was that high school's first love LOL LOL when we were hoping big, and dreaming large. That's it, let's all be really selfless with great interest in the other person, with high hopes and God-sized dreams- and let's get some joy in our lives. I vote we both pursue heartedly, and who cares how the first contact is made- have some fun! disclaimer: you may have to contact A LOT of people to find just one that clicks... so get witty and busy.
