USMC question?Posted : 30 Oct, 2009 07:50 AMIt looks like my step-son is going to join the Corps. He'd like to be stationed somewhere non-ordinary. I was a fighter pilot in the USAF and have no idea where the Marine bases are or which one would suit him best. He's young, athletic and adventurous -- typical Marine.......... Any ideas?? |

USMC question?Posted : 17 Nov, 2009 11:03 AMI'm not there yet, but I leave in under a month for basic and I've done my share of research. If he's aviation (as you were), his options are pretty small. He'll go to one of three divisions after basic. Either West Coast U.S., East Coast US, or overseas. Overseas is basically Japan, and soon Guam. If you check wikipedia.org they have a full list of all the USMC bases he can possibly be sent to. |
