THE BLAME GAME AT COLUMBINE HIGH - U.S.A.

By Sharon L/w Brown aka Sonnet

It seems easy to see

The killers CHOSE to be,

Joyful disciples from Hell

Laughing and killing with glee.

But I doubt any Newsman

Policemen, Psychologist, or other,

Will be allowed to look below to such depths

When they can blame another.

Fear reigns in their minds

Lest they be called, Witch Hunters,

Enabled intellects hiding behind

But mere motive in the young gunners.

Few are brave enough to accuse

The followers of evil and the Devil himself,

Short of our Lord and our Rock

On whom, greater choices are clef.

Few are willing to point a finger

And without a doubt, say,

This is what happens to a nation

When its school children are forbidden to pray.

When they are allowed to leave

A highways, unbroken line at high speed,

Thinking only of themselves

And their own self-centered needs, ME! ME! ME!.

But whether as individuals or corporately

Our nation has complied,

Taking away Gods boundaries

Apparently - preferring, omission made lies.

Satan spoke in a lawsuit

And not one parent or lawmaker refrained,

From taking down - Gods 10 Commandments

Daring schools to whisper HIS name.

Letting our students dress like hile Hitler devils

Or corner street thugs and sluts,

Yes! Good has been made to bow down

Before atheistic attitudes and Satanic nuts!

As we allow our children to view horror movies

See blood till their senses are numb,

Till the red in blood is but a great graphic

And horror is laughed at, as fun.

Though I realize But

By the Grace of God, there [could] go I or mine,

Into that same tearless tunnel of rebellion,

Devoured and blind.

Into a world where sometimes

The talented, pretty, rich, or elite,

Are taught early on

Not - to be righteous or sweet

Its lesser sometimes mocked and rejected

Some CHOOSING to dwell on hateful schemes,

Neither knowing - It is the Devil they follow

Or, theyd all be ashamed.

They would reject paint, smeared, musicians

Writhing in glory to Satans lies and claims,

Yep! Another fine place to begin

If we must play The Blame Game.

And theres always we parents to dissect

And while were at it, our schools,

But you cant blame the murders at Columbine High

On The Golden Rule.

Maybe our problem is Hollywood and computers

Promoting violence, as with games, called, Doom,

Or that weird is no longer seen - as weird

In a childs, ballistic, weapon, strewn room.

Free choice! Free choice!

The spiritually hollow - in their ignorance demand,

As if the goodness of past privileges held

Werent there, but had been something evil in hand.

Satan shouts, Let go of the reigns!

Let us have freedom of choice to kill and maim,

Through strummed cords, thinking the voice their own

The deceived fall away from hearth and home.

Call it like it is

The evil we have embraced is to blame,

Jesus told Satan, No to his face when tempted

But not us! We have even banned Gods name!

Agreeing to remove the bridles that hindered

Our run-aways safely controlled in GODS RULE,

Convinced we could fit large blocks in small circles

With mere philosophers tools.

But one by one, esteemed theories

Have fallen with the dead - slipshod from mans hands,

Building not upon the solid, rewarding, truth of God

But upon the enchantment of a seashores, shifting sands.

We have sided in with the enemy

By not siding in with RIGHT,

Surrendering to rebellions deviants

Instead of challenging - with our own legal fight.

This nation was founded on God

And it is In God, we must re-establish and trust!,

Without fearing our own measure by standards

And falling face down in the dust.

Knowing life is a two-laned, narrow highway

On which God has marked out a clear path,

Having charted boundaries for our safety

Lest we meet oncoming troubles and crash.

How dare we take away the straight lines

The slow down and curve signs!

Tolerating - perverted, God haters

Who shout at us, tattle, whinny, and whine?

We are a God believing nation

Our dead students and teachers, proven Saints,

And in spite of all our trespasses

Have seen VICTORY in God rise above sins hate.

Lives that may not have been claimed

If Satans theories had not been chose,

His likeness - a thrill for evil to re-enact

In veins of thought, running cold

It happened at Columbine High

Where the good and decent - like martyrs fell,

Bravely, they for God

The two gunmen cowards for Hell.

Truth demands commitment and courage

Amid death, our standing up, and our falls,

But once eyes and lives are back on the road

Even the weak can be strong and safe in Gods law.

We deny that our children be taken back

To our forefathers, successful, square one,

To the same building blocks

Once ours to choose from and build on.

In lieu of soul forlorn shells

And loaded guns held by those lost and lame,

Laying down the proven and true beside our dead

As if the ones guilty in The Blame Game.

God Forgive Us

And it is in Jesus name, I pray, God help us all!

For all children and men

One nation - under You, our God

 Amen Yes! So be it

Great poem! It could also apply to the shooting at Virginia Tech, where one student shot and killed 31 in April, 2007 before killing himself.

May God help parents and friends of those who were killed for no reason! May God help the parents of the student who killed the students and professors.
