James 2:14-15 Mistranslated
Posted : 13 Oct, 2015 06:20 PM

In the sincerest love of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

You clearly have another Gospel Hark and George (Gal 1:6-7), and there's really little point trying to discuss theology with either of you because you seem to think all translations of the Word are wrong, except yours, despite the fact that all other Christians (actually there are likely others like you as well, but I've not heard or seen of them before) accept that at least the KJV is a divinely inspired translation.

You also both seem to think that the only conversation we have with God is through his word, since otherwise why would God not have told any of us other Christians that we have the Gospel completely wrong through his Holy Spirit. You are both deluded, perhaps even possesed of some familiar spirits.

In all honesty I really think it's time for both of you to just leave, or stop posting, I've certainly lost patience God forgive me, and won't converse with you any longer. Though I will say, if you post your heresy as new topics I will have to post at least one correction if I feel it's important enough, merely for the edification of others who might be led astray by your false teachings.

I'll pray that God reveals his truth to you.

When did red become common in the house of God?
Posted : 13 Oct, 2015 03:38 PM

I have looked into all of that symbolism you talk about Ella, but in all honesty, should we need dcor to remind us of these things?

To me, red is about warning and danger and, yes satan doesn't really where a red cloak, but it clearly is the colour most people tend to associate with him, so, because I'm aware of so mush apostasy in so many churches, false prophets and doctrines etc, I just thought that perhaps wicked antichrists might use this colour as a deception tool as well, even to dull our spirit man.

I am simply a born again Christian btw Ella, certainly not Catholic.

I don't need symbolism, crucifixes, portraits of Jesus or candles to afirm my faith. Perhaps I'm over thinking it, just seems wrong.

About the falling asleep, well that's a little silly really, if ones going to worship God and starts falling asleep, I suggest they need deliverance or just more sleep at home!

All Blessings!

This is something myself and particularly my Brother Shola have noticed in recent years.

Often there is so much red in some church buildings; on the alter, on the chairs, the floor and trapings etc.

Isn't red often symbolic of the devil, or hell?

I have looked on a number of websites and found tat red is used in Catholicism often, well that means nothing to me. Also that sometimes it symbolises the blood of Christ or the Pentacost, but does it have to be a permanent fixture?

We are children of the 'light' we just feel in our spirits that this is all not quite right, but I was just wondering if 1) anyone else has noticed this and 2) anyone else sees this all as strange?

Blessings in the name of Jesus.

Was Jesus Morally Perfect

My Brother, I believe you are playing 'devils advocate'.

It matters not what; the Pharisees, the Sadducees, nor the Roman soldiers, nor the throngs of Jews calling him to be executed, 'thought' about him.

Clearly they were in error! The point remains that he s morally perfect.

Anybody, now or then who denies that he was morally perfect, for whatever reason, is in error, and are effectively denying him.

For how can we accept Jesus as the atonement for our sins (Le 5:18, Ro 5:11), the high priest of the tribe of Israel (He 8:1), the intercessor between us and God (Ro 8:34); if we deny his perfection as the righteous Lamb of God? (Jn 1:36, Re 7:17)

Racist and prejudice believers!?

I mostly agree with Hisjoymypeace on this one,

I will admit that my tenancy is to find a certain 'type' of lady attractive as far as appearance goes. But I know that I also used to find cigarettes, cannabis, alcohol and pornography attractive as well, so what do I know!

My point is not that we cannot find a help meet physically attractive, but rather that it is not of primary importance, we may have preferences as HisJoy said, but Gods will for us is of paramount importance.

We should be as open as his Spirit allows us to be, and should always be asking him if 'this is his will'...always!

Just quickly in response to Rambo919;

My Brother, your thoughts on this sound very much of the world, are you a believer in evolution as well by any chance?

Brother, we are now inheritors of the kingdom of heaven (1Pe 1:3,4), we are sons and daughters of God (Ro 8:14) and are all members of the same body (Ro 12:4). We are, as Godsjude rightly said, of the 12 tribes of israel, no other tribes are important to us! Since we are born again of the spirit, crucified with Christ and live only by the faith of the Son of God (Ga 2:20), there is no reason to see our physical differences as a barrier like some of the gentiles do. We are a peculiar people. (De 26:18, Titus 2:14)

Are You A Christian?
Posted : 12 Oct, 2015 08:40 PM

Certainly in my heart, I am weeping my George, though I'm sure not in the way you intended.

I'm not expecting an answer, but I have to try,

What is repentance? And what did John the Baptist mean by the word here?

Mt 3:7-9

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for REPENTANCE:

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

And Jesus here

Mt 9:13

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to REPENTANCE.

George, I beseech you please, even if you think you are saved by grace and are still allowed to sin, why would you want to sin against God anyway? You ought to find the idea of sin repellent.

Don't get me wrong, I struggle with it, I have even backslided many times, but if I sin, I feel so so guilty and lose my relationship with God for a season. You sound like a dog that's still eating it's sick after it's heard the truth, God forgive me!

With all the love of Christ, Carl.

surrendering to Christ
Posted : 12 Oct, 2015 08:25 PM

George, Brother, you have some spirit of dissension in you, I believe you need deliverance!

From your last post 'I would rather take the Grace thru faith route which leads to life, then the works , which leads to ruin.'

I guess it's sarcasm, but it really sounds strange Brother!

I honestly have never heard a Christian talk the way you do!

You seem think you can carry on in your sin and still be saved through Gods Grace, I'm sorry but that is not the Gospel message Brother!

I Suggest you read Romans Chapter 6 several times and then fall to your knees before your God before 'surrendering' to him. Then you will be given a clean heart that will detest sin of any kind.

Be loved, with all the love of God George.

George my Brother,

With all the love I can show, you won't even answer my question about whether you believe Jesus conquered death and still lives, or any of my other questions; so why should I entertain any of your translation nonsense?

Actually, you seem to have another Gospel, and...

Ga 1:5-7

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

I will quote John the Baptist for you my Brother, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.(Mt 3:2)

Blessings Sister Ella,

I agree with your words.

I have come to understand (and I'm sure I was told this when I first came to the faith, but it's one thing hearing it another thing finding it out through trial and error!) that there is no one way to be a Christian!

We can talk about generalities like, staying in the word, fellow-shipping and praying, but it is quite difficult to explain how to actually do these things at all or in an effective way.

I think there's a key characteristic that makes us Christian though. It's that (whilst we are without sin and still truly known by Jesus) we are endowed with the Holy Spirit of God, so that's a great starting point; Staying in the Spirit.

It's different for each of us, some find it easier to get into spirit with music for example, others simply by reading the word, others through fellowship and still others by prayer. I'm not suggesting by the way that prayer can be avoided of course.

When I first became a Christian I was able to pray for hrs per day, now it's not so easy.

In general though, I believe that whatever works for us, we always keep in mind that if we are not moving 'forward' in our walk with Christ, it's simply not good enough!

This may sound harsh, and believe me, I've been a failure in this regard in my journey at times! But I am convinced it's the truth. We need to be continuously and unceasingly growing in the spirit, even as we diminish in the flesh. Otherwise we are in danger of falling back into whatever sin the enemy wants to lure us with.

All the blessings of Jesus to everyone in our glorious Church!
