David Wilkerson Memorial Service Broadcast Today (14 May 2011)
Posted : 14 May, 2011 06:43 AM

A Memorial Service for the late Rev. David Wilkerson (May 19, 1931 April 27, 2011) will stream live today (14May 2011) from Times Square Church at 2PM, Eastern. Here's the link -- http://tinyurl.com/3ntq82b -- and the broadcast can be watched at a later date, from what I understand.

For those of you who weren't familiar with David, he ministered to gangs in New York City, and a book and movie was made about it, "The Cross and the Switchblade." At one time it was the 2nd bet selling book, next to the Bible.

I saw David speak twice, one at Central Bible College, his Alma Mater. One of his sons and a daughter attended there when I did.

Lastly, please pray for Gwen Wilkerson, David's widow. She survived the car accident, and was expected to recover the last time I heard. And please pray for the Wilkerson Family during this time of loss.

Thanks and God Bless You and Yours.

RIP, Brother Wilkerson,

If there IS a pre-trib rapture, Why does Trying to uncrack Revelation matter?

Steve Gregg had a guy call in on his radio show with some stuff about Camping on May 12th. I haven't heard all of it yet, but thought to share it here.

Here's the Bible Forum link @ -

Viola mentioned a true story about a soldier and a woman who wrote letters (pen pals style) without seeing what the other person looked like.

This strangely resembles a book and short film by Max Lucado named "The Book and The Rose" (including meeting in a train station). I saw this film (28 minutes) on TBN not long ago and found it for free on the web too. However, the most recent link I had doesn't work (possibly due to violation of copyright laws). Anyways, I found a trailer here > http://vimeo.com/13052752 < and TBN will probably rebroadcast it some time. I can't recommend this film any more! It so much resembles "online dating" in several ways. If they have a picture or don't.

Take care, :waving:

Not sure what you menfolk think......

Hi Oshen, all :waving:

I got my first computer in 2000 and proceeded to post on forums. Up till 2006 I was *very active* in forum and blog discussions and debates on virtually "everything Christian." I have about 30,000 posts! On one site, it was virtually the same as a chat room (immediate replies, simul-posting)! We would get to 1,000 posts in less than 2 weeks!

Chat rooms are good to get an idea about how someone interacts with others. What folks "believe" can be gone into also. However, the pace can be hectic--and whatever you say gets lost, soon as you log out.

Before I joined any dating sites (almost 2 years ago), I met good Christian women in Bible/theology discussions on blogs and forums. I sent PMs and/or emails to some, and we agreed that if we lived closer, "Okay, cawfee." But just like in online dating, most were far away....

In any event, a forum (like this) has the advantage of your posts being saved (as opposed to a chat room). I'd think you can probably get a better idea as to how folks interact with others on forums/blogs too. Especially when discussing controversial topics, etc., etc.

Just some thoughts, thanks!

Just wondering... Dose anyone feel frustrated they have not met "the one" yet?? If so, do you think it could be because God is preparing you both for each other by way of pruning and refining in certian areas?? God's timing is always the best timing. "Our" timing is what's gets us in less than favorable situations. What are your thoughts??

Hi Oshen, all! :waving:

They say, "Sometimes pictures speak louder than words" (or something like that, I think)???

I scanned the link. Looks helpful. I used to work in Psych. It resembles some psych testing I've seen (like MCMI).

Here's a great "go-by" I've been using and plan to use if I ever get "serious" with anyone. It's a good general compatibility "quiz" (so to speak) for any Christian relationship: Steve Gregg's "Compatibility Considerations Before Marriage" -

FYI, Thanks! :waving:

And (sorry) ... How did the OP (original post) get quoted automatically? (Is this a new feature or something)? Thanks again!
