Martial arts- Are they harmless? A christian response? (i copied and pasted)

I didn't even have to display my pistol.

I had my brand new truck parked in the lot, and I was the only one there. I had it concealed on my belt, and was walking toward my truck, when these two fine upstanding citizens started to eye me in a way that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, like I was prey. I moved my hand to a convenient spot which would have allowed me to draw my pistol. They saw what I did and decided to move on. I didn't display my weapon or anything. I just put my hand in a spot on my belt and they left me alone.

I think it's more of a mindset of not blundering through life in condition white, not knowing what's going on around you. That's what it was for me.

I'm a big fan of the "Smith and Wesson" school of martial arts. Beats kung pow chicken any day of the week.

I've had an experience where I almost had to use it too. All I did was to put my hand near a particular spot, look these fine upstanding members of society in the eye, and they moved along.

I don't think age is a big barrier. I think maturity level is.

It depends.

One of the guys from work, for example, got sent white and red flowers by his girlfriend.

It should be something funny, useless, and original. Or one of the above.
