I had a hit me straight in “the Feels” moment a while back. I was out having breakfast with my friend and there is a later middle age couple across from us with their special needs son. He looked like he was probably mid twenties and I’ve seen the family before. Well an older woman came in with her special needs daughter whom I’ve seen around town also and I noticed the boy when she came in looks up and sees her and gets this lovely smile on his face when he saw her. He obviously knew her and it was like a second before he was just going about his business with breakfast but when she came into the room she just lit up his world. It was love in it’s purest form--no agendas, none of the “what can you do for me?” mentality--she just lit up his world.
I’m telling this because I want you to get an inside into my heart. This life on Earth is a fleeting vapor as the Bible says so why waste it on hate and strife. So love God with all your heart and mind and soul and then I say find your tribe; family, friends etc and just love on them with all your heart. Be the person that when you come into the room people smile.
So a little about me. I work as an underwriter in the insurance industry. I'm a Christian but sometimes I don't think I'm a very good one but who is and I would really want to build my next relationship on that foundation. I am definitely the little sheep that the Shepherd has to go after a lot. I’m looking to get out there again and see who’s out there. What past relationships have taught me is that I’ll accept nothing less than someone who will adore me—a person who is respectful, loving and puts as much into the relationship as I do. Who has her head on straight and wants a man to be her best friend and partner in life and not a replacement for her daddy. A woman who doesn’t need a man but wants her equal. Who is open about her feelings and is willing to listen to mine. I want romance again. I want someone who makes me want to be around them. Someone who I dream about all day and want to come home to. Someone strong but tender. Someone who appreciates the little things and loves the romantic gestures that I do just because I love them. I want someone to cuddle with again. Someone that I can be myself and not walk on egg shells. Someone who appreciates that that I can be strong and tender at the same time. Someone who appreciates and respects honesty and responsibility. Who will truly listen and not try to “fix” me but understands that I’m a once in a lifetime kind of guy. Please, please, please have a sense of humor mixed with a sense of maturity and know when to turn on either. On the bright side I'm extremely funny with a wicked sense of humor. I would like to have someone to be silly with again. I like to write stories and do artwork. Movie buff, which my 500 DVDs belie. I have family that I love to pieces and are important to me and friends that are as important. I like to cook and entertain. You can entertain me for hours at Barnes and Nobles or going out antiquing or thrifting. I'm a tad bit of a geek but I do have a clue. Don’t know what else I can say. I’m getting too old for games and I’m not looking for that anymore. If you want something real message me.
Honestly I'm at the point where I'm a little soured on all the whole romantic thing. Not that I don't think it could happen but man I'm tired of all the stupid dating games. I'd like something that could lead into a LTR I would like someone to hang out with, talk, drink some wine and get to know each other. Nothing too crazy is it?
