Hi
I'm Gabriela and I guess I'm happy with my name but my family only ever used it when they weren't happy with me growing up. Any other time it was Gaby so I'm happy to answer to that instead.
Anyway, writing is not one of my strongpoints so I'll be pretty basic. The most important thing in my life is God and my faith in Him, followed by my kids, family and friends. I have a passion for music and I tried to learn guitar when i was a kid but I guess I just didn't have enough patience to stick with it back then and now I wish I had. Now I'm wanting to pursue voice lessons. I enjoy a good book every now and then. I am an introvert and I do better with smaller one on one groups than large crowds. I'm not good at reaching out to strangers and initiating conversations so it's something I'm still working on. I'm not much for small talk. I prefer deep and meaningful conversations. I believe coffee is one of God's gifts to man. Two things I would like to become better at are cooking and needlework.
I don't get out much so meeting new people in person right now isn't much of a possibility and I guess that's why I decided to try the online thing again. Yes I am divorced and yes I have kids. I understand that for many of you out there that is a deal breaker and that's fine with me. But I will choose to believe that God is a God of second chances and that His mercy and forgiveness are real. So even if you happen to disagree, I will ask that you please keep your negative judgemental comments to yourself. Yes, I have actually gotten those here. I don't believe in divorce except in the case of infidelity and I believe in fighting for a marriage until there's nothing left to fight for. But what does one do if the other person says they are done and simply walks away?
I don't know if I'll ever be given a second chance at marriage again, but even if I'm not, I will still be content in Christ. If I am, I am seeking a partner who also puts God first in his life. I don't want to make the same mistake again. Anyone can say they are Christian but not everyone has given their life to Christ. I no longer wish to compromise my values in hopes that the person will start living better. I am more than willing to submit to a man who will lead his family spiritually as well as in all the other areas of life. God must absolutely be in the center of our marriage. Church attendance is also very important to me. Having been raised in a works-based church and saved by grace out of it later, Ephesians 2 8/9 really stands out to me.
If you've taken the time to read all this, thanks for taking the time to read all this. I look forward to hearing from you even if just for a friendship.
