At the risk of sounding totally cliché, I really do like long walks on the beach, especially at sunset!
I know, right? However the chance to do that on a regular basis is what brought me from the Midwest to coastal Carolina over 20 years ago. I love looking for beach glass, it reminds me of hunting for morel mushrooms in the woods in Illinois, except glass is not as tasty!
I also enjoy cooking, and am pretty handy around the kitchen if I do say so myself! I'm pretty much of a stay at home guy, and always have been. When I do go out I enjoy going to concerts (I'm pretty much open to any live music), eating out, I love live comedy and I guess we already talked about the beach. I'm not into the party scene, but I have no problem with a glass of wine or cocktail with friends.
I am active in my church. I help in children's ministry, attend weekly services as well as small group and help where ever I am needed. As my church is located in New Bern (about 40 minutes away) this takes up a good deal of my time. I am the operations manager of the primary Food Pantry in my county. We are a Christian ministry, which allows me to a great deal of mission work in my day to day life.
I am a new follower of Christ, I was saved about 2 years ago after an entire life of denying God's existence. I have become quite passionate about my faith in a short order of time. I would like someone who, if not shares, is at least open to my beliefs and I to theirs. As this is a Christian singles site, I assume that most people would fall into that category. Most of all I am I am looking for someone who is open, honest and loving. There is far to much hate going around these days, and I don't want any part of that.

- Well that is a tough one these days, Zoom call??!
Well, let's just pretend we are in a post COVID world and everything is normal again.
We would meet for lunch at Down on Main St. on the Little Washington riverfront. It has a nice view and good food, especially the seafood. We'd then get to know each other a little over a nice meal. If we are enjoying each others company we could walk over to Rachael K's for a cup of coffee and desert. We could get it to go and take a nice walk along the Riverwalk. If we would still like to hang out some more, Moss Landing, down the street, has kayak for rent, and there are a lot of nice areas near by to paddle around.
I think that would make for a fun first date, what do you think?
