Life is a funny thing. Never did I think that at 50 I would be looking for my person. Circumstances that led me to be single in my 40's were some of my own stupid choices but also some that were out of my control. I've learned that trusting is a choice. You either do it or you don't. I choose to trust...even though past relationships have ended in betrayal. I want a relationship like my parents. Godly, full of integrity through thick and thin for almost 60 years. I will never see 60 years with someone but I want to strive for that sweet old couple rocking on the front porch holding hands...seemingly doing nothing but enjoying the silence of each others company.
Each of us have a past. Some of us have learned from our past, some are still learning and some are still blind sided by what took place. Each are ok, we are all on our own journeys. Understanding and patience is a beautiful gift to give someone. I have a colourful past but I'm sure we all do. I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to get to know who you are now! Just like I hope you are with me.
I love camping, fishing, travelling, the smell of my clothes after a bonfire. I've kinda been a shut in since my marriage ended 5 years ago but life is so precious and shouldn't be wasted inside. Summer is here and I'm ready for some new adventures.
