Jesus is my greatest treasure and reason for living. I am not perfect by any means, but I aim to live my life in a way that makes sense in light of eternity. If that makes you smile rather than cackle in derision, please proceed :)
I am an interesting mix of Dr Quinn (minus the MD degree), Joan of Arc (minus the bravery) and Jane Eyre (minus the penchant for attraction to married men).
If I had lived during the 1800s I would have been a mail order bride. (Note: when the wagon train arrived, my prospective husband may have initially been disappointed by my lack of curves, but all would end well when I saved the town during a cholera epidemic or nursed him back to health following a rather unfortunate incident involving a rattler).
I have been to six continents and lived a scandalously wonderful life both in the mundane and in the more awe inspiring seasons. Nepal, Brasil, the Pine Ridge Reservation, Ecuador and Botswana are a few of my favs.
I have a degrees in Cultural Anthropology, International Development and Nursing. I also have my teaching license and taught elementary school for nearly 10 years. Currently, I work in the operating room on the trauma team. (WEAR YOUR SEATBELT)!
My biggest fear is wasting my life.
When I really don't want to do a task like deep cleaning or fixing my car, I'll put on a fancy dress and then tackle the task.
I was the legal guardian of two of my former students during their teen years.
I am aging like Benjamin Button.
I camp, hike, kayak and travel frequently. I equally love to read, sip coffee and watch movies.
