I finalized a divorce November 2020 and have been on my own since July 2020. I'm a bit nervous and new to online dating. I don't have any kids, but I have two dogs that I love. I think I will always have a dog in my life.
I purchased a home in Ovid, MI that was built in 1846, rumor is that it was a funeral home in the early 1900's. I've been trying to find more history on the home. I do love it - the wide wrap around front porch and the original fixtures are beautiful. I'm learning a lot about DIY (thank you YouTube) and I invested in all new plumbing.
Christianity is important to me, but I've slipped a bit after the divorce. I'm trying to get that back ontrack and I'm looking for someone with similar values. I attend a non-denominational church in Dewitt and my faith is a big part of who I am. I would love to have a significant person in my life to share that with.
Humor and romance are two sure ways to get my attention. I love to laugh and think the best photos people take are when they are

I absolutely love Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (UP). Several years ago I took a vacation and visited 17 waterfalls and several tourist locations in a week. The UP has over 200 waterfalls and a great many are easily accessible. I’ve also been to many that require more effort to see the beauty, but it is so well worth it.
The tranquility of the forest, the rushing water, and the expansive valleys are indescribably beautiful. Ever since that trip, each of my vacations have been limited to Michigan’s upper mitten and the UP, with the exception of Hocking Hills in Ohio.
I’d love to find a partner that will billy-goat up hills, traverse along rivers just to see what is further on. Maybe someone who is not afraid to get their shoes wet or muddy to capture the perfect picture too. It would be wonderful to take these adventures outside of Michigan as well.
