. I'm a 27 year old man with Cerebral Palsy. I'm in a wheelchair and I'm non verbal. I communicate using an eye controlled computer. I'm a firm believer in Jesus Christ i believe that I was born a wretched, evil sinner Deserving of nothing but judgement, death, and Hell. However, because of God's incredible love for me, He Sent His one and only sinless, holy Son Jesus to die on the cross to take the punishment for my sin. I love God, although my love for him utterly pales in comparison to his love for me. I try to obey Him as best as I can, however, I often fail. My failures just make me love and appreciate His love and grace even more.
Here's a little bit of my background. First off, my name used to be Jayson Houston. I grew up in the inner city of St. Louis, Missouri. I had a pretty turbulent early childhood. My birth mom had issues that affected her ability to care for me. As a result, I had to live in the Children's Home Society of Missouri for three years. During the first part of my stay at the Children's Home, I grew very sad, lonely, and angry. I started hurting people with my wheelchair. Even though I knew about God from spending time with my granny, I didn't really have a relationship with him. A few years later, a nurse told me the story of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego. Then she suggested that I try going to church. So a nice family started taking me to a local community church near the Children's Home. It was there that I began to love the person and work of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Shortly after that, I got adopted by another nice family and moved to Wentzville, Missouri.
During my time with my new family, life took several twists and turns. Sometimes these were really overwhelming, however ultimately everything that I've been through has brought me closer to God and strengthened my faith in Him. In 2013, I graduated from Timberland High School. Last year, I received my Associates degree from Saint Charles Community College. In August, I will be starting an online bachelor's degree program from Liberty University and I'm going to be studying apologetics, or the science of defending the bible.
I have several goals that I want to accomplish in my life. One of those goals is pursuing some type of career where I can use the writing ability God has given me to bring Him glory. The other main goal I have is finding a beautiful, godly woman to marry and start a family with.
I have several hobbies I like to engage in. I like listening to a variety of genres of music including Christian, Christian rap, country, soul rock, pop, and classical. I enjoy watching many different Tv shows and movies. I enjoy reading the bible and other things and writing about them. I also like going to movies, bowling, and to concerts.
