P.S. For those who could use some encouragement today..
LONELINESS can be a painful thing. If you feel lonely right now, you are NOT failing. It can bring even the strongest person to their knees, and tempt the steadfast to compromise. Don't give in. Don't give up. Even if you've felt lonely before, it can feel much more intense now because we are so close to the beginning of Tribulations. You can do this! Don't let it grind you down.
HOPELESSNESS is a crossroads. Many will give up. Choose perseverance instead. If it's hopeless anyway, what have you got to lose by pressing on with only the hope of salvation through Christ in the end? Endurance means choosing God anyway, no matter what. Those who walk the path of endurance as an act of worship will be victorious.
It is in THE WAITING for what we hope for, what we pray for, what we long for that we reveal who we really are and whether or not we are truly in Him. Today's pain is nothing compared to the joy that awaits if we choose God anyway. That is not to say the pain is mild nor insignificant. Rather the joy will be so great that the enormity and persistence of today's pain will be like a speck of dust in comparison. I want that joy so much for you. So, hang tight. You can do this.
Facing IMPOSSIBLE odds, insurmountable CIRCUMSTANCES, one no-win scenario after another? Hamstrung at every turn 'til divine intervention, which hasn't come, is your only option? Perseverance is a critical component of faith in Jesus Christ. It is impossible to truly walk with God and yet avoid having to develop it. Spiritual maturity cannot be achieved without it. These are the 'fish or cut bait' moments. Too many have betrayed God, in Heaven and on Earth. He needs to know if you'll be one of them, or if you'll be His friend to the end. So, hang in there! Be one of the few to keep choosing Him. All of Heaven is rooting for you.
Feel like your days are WITHOUT PURPOSE? Nothing to look forward to from one day to the next? IF the mundane is truly a green pasture God has led you to for now (and not evidence of disloyalty to Him), your heroism may be in being among the very few whom Jesus will find watching/waiting for Him: your lamp filled with oil; ready for the fulfillment of your adoption in the Kingdom. Who we are in the quiet times with God shines more brightly in this dark world than do feats fame-worthy in the eyes of religious men. You matter.
