I would be ok sharing a more detailed testimony if we get in contact, but in summary I was not raised in a Christian home but the Lord has called the whole earth from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, so we are all without excuse. I was saved after being baptized a few years ago in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of my sins, as Christ commanded his disciples to do and teach all the world.
'Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:' -Matthew 28.19
'And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.' -Acts 22.16
'The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:' -1 Peter 3.21
The Bible (KJV) is the Word of God in English. It is to be read as it is written and obeyed. It means what it says and does not require interpretation. If you are a disciple of Christ, and consider him your Lord, you will hear and do his word.
'Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.' -John 8.31-32
'And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?' -Luke 6.46
Once you are married, you are no more twain, but one flesh, until death. God does not consider divorce once married. If your wife chooses to leave, she is free to walk away but if she choose to re-marry, she will be living in adultery, and the adulterer will not inherent the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) So with all due respect, if you are 'divorced' and your husband is still alive, you may ask me a question and I will gladly answer you according to scripture, but I can't let it go further than that.
'For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.' -Roman 7.2-3
As a Christian man, you can expect me to love my wife and children, work hard to provide for them the things they have need of, and be the Christian man that a Christian lady would want to subject herself to. I will not support your career "goals" but rather I will work hard to provide so you are able to stay home and do the things God ordained for you the moment he took the rib out of Adam. My role as a Christian man is not to take my family to a 'church building' every Sunday morning to receive their doctrine from a man behind a pulpit while our Bible gathers dust at home. But I am to sit at the dinner table with my family, open our bibles and wash them with water by the word. We get our doctrine from God, just like Christ got his doctrine from his Father. While a Christian man is to guide his house according to the authority God has placed on him, this authority is not given to him to mistreat his wife or boss her around, and exalt himself above the woman, but we are to be an example to our wife, just like Christ is an example to the church.
'Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish' -Ephesians 5.25-27
I am looking for a wife that will be my help meet (not help mate) and will fear the Lord. A keeper of the home, will dress modestly, and a wise mother and wife that will build her house rather than pluck it down with her hands. I don't care much about appearance since a lady who has a meek and quiet spirit will be more beautiful than any tall blonde skinny supermodel you can put in front of me. I would like you though to take care of your physical health or be interested in bettering your health if you haven't done so in the past.
'In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works' -1 Timothy 2.9-10
