- I am 46 and never been close to being married mainly because I have focused on educational pursuits. I also devote a lot of time and energy to my family as I have several siblings and am raising my niece, who is nearly 13 now. I love children, but I never felt a strong desire to have any due to all the babysitting I did growing up. I love being an aunt. That is one of my 5 nephews in my profile pic.
