I am a person who is devoting my life to a ministry of the Word. I have a Master's in Biblical Studies and a lot of my Biblical research is in the Hebrew and Greek. I am currently writing a book on spiritual transformation by the Holy Spirit, and I do some teaching in a church setting. But at some point I think I would like to help lead an urban church plant. I enjoy 70s and 80s soul and funk music, and black gospel music, organic and fermented foods. Outside of work, I enjoy church fellowship, parks, thrift store shopping, watching documentaries and listening to alternative media.
I am looking for a life partner who can make me fall in love with God more every day. Someone who has as his strength his daily devotions and enjoys deep spiritual conversations. Because of my studies in the original languages I see other readings of the biblical text that allow for gender equality. I believe marriage is a partnership, not a hierarchy, that involves mutual submission, and who yields to whom is determined on a case by case basis. Touch is my number one love language. I am looking for someone who I can encourage in his gifts and calling and he can encourage me in mine--that our chemistry just naturally draws the best out in each of us and we feel strengthened by each other's diversity or differences.
