Honestly, I prefer to talk in person, but here goes nothing.
I am a 32 year old teacher and pastor. I do not have children. I was once married, but it ended tragically without my consent. I understand that many of you will be alarmed/turned away because of this, but there was nothing more that I could do. Like you, I hold ideals of marriage as being a forever type of union, but when your partner leaves without real explanation or contact, what can a person really do? Should they remain alone forever, or try to move on and be happy?
I wrestle with these types of questions a lot and have concluded that a God of love could never expect me to keep such a death sentence of loneliness simply because someone else broke their promise.
If it is not apparent yet, I am extremely emotionally intelligent and attune. I am likewise an empath who can easily pick up on other people's emotions.
Outside of school and the church, I play a lot of basketball, go for long drives, and sing at the top of my lungs - even though I am a less than average sounding voice.
