- I have been divorced since 2017, and have a son who’s been married almost two years and my daughter (who surprised everyone by getting married last July while about to begin her Sr year in college; she & her husband (who have been together since they first saw each other at orientation into their 8th grade year in high school) will be graduating from Alabama this May and moving to Birmingham. So you can see that I’ve had an empty nest for quite some time. Apparently, I’m a bit too old fashioned in some ways, and although I’ve attempted “dating”, which is an entirely different planet than from what I’ve always known as real dating, with both ppl behaving like respectful, honest and trustworthy Christians who treat each other precisely the same way they want to be treated. But society has become so distorted and people don’t know how to actually be “present” and pay attention to their interactions with someone right in front of them and the worst setbacks I’ve experienced is being judged on a man’s first glance and once they discover that, although I am very affectionate, I have enough integrity, morals and boundaries that the 4 separate periods I tried to “date”, I’d have quite a few first dates and then…inevitably “ghosted” (( which I utterly loathe more than anything else!)) I am the most kind hearted, eternally optimistic, feisty, with a killer sense of humor and i am, by far, the most loyal/faithful old-fashioned country Southern Belle who’s genuinely knows how rare it is nowadays to meet “ONE OF THE GOOD ONES “- a decent, honorable, faithful man. And I have been patiently praying for God to place the right man and in the right place in His timing, so I can be the truest, 1-of-a-kind woman He created me to be !
