I was a late comer to Christianity. I encountered Jesus through an Alpha course by the church I now belong to. The power and truth of knowing that Jesus would still have gone to the cross to sacrifice himself for me if I was the only person on the planet, that he loves me just the way I am but that he also wants me grow. Powerful truths. As one worship song puts it, "I live for you"
I had a period before this when I was too broken for anything. Now, I volunteer and sometimes work in a city mission, helping those who are homeless, live in poverty, asylum seekers and refugees, or have mental health issues. The door is open to anyone. I also work at my church running venues in a wonderful 19th century building. I often get the pleasure of being there by myself as darkness falls.
I am looking for friendship, companionship, and even marriage with the right person. Shared faith, interesting conversations, and some fun. God didn't create men and women to be alone.
I am a but shy and a bit battered by a life that was needlessly hard and focused on the wrong things. Thankfully, God has rescued me and changed everything about my life. A life I hope you could be a part of.
