I am a Christian widower with 4 children, 5-18, looking to start a new chapter in my life. The Word of God is my roadmap and while I won't say that I have always followed it, the truths in it form my family's world view all the same, including how we are to act and how we are to treat others, being of one blood in creation. I am praying for a Bible-believing, non-divorced, Christian woman of any ethnicity that is intelligent, energetic, patient, compassionate, kind, and funny and resides in the U.S. I'm faithful for a woman that loves children, and is willing, and capable, to have an instant family, investing in them, and be a Godly example of womanhood, especially for my younger children. I do not drink or smoke and looking for someone that does not as well.
It is well over a year since the passing of my late wife and I believe that the time is right to start seeing if there is someone with which I may spend this next chapter of my life. Right now I am trying to take it slow so as to not rush things for me or my children. My faith in God and my family are my priorities, and I desire someone that not only understands this, but in whom God places the desire in their heart themselves. Someone that would enjoy not only the focused alone time with me that is crucial to developing and growing a healthy marital relationship and enjoy life together (getaway weekends, restaurants, going for coffee, visits to the movie theater to see anything that is actually worth seeing, museums, Bible study, reading, learning something new, listening to music, gardening, walking hand in hand on slow warm evenings, or curling up on the couch watching a movie on TV on cool winter nights), but also the time as a family unit, (at the ball fields, attending church, family hikes, road trips, having fun around the house playing board games or Friday family movie nights).
I believe that the Lord placed my late wife in my life, and if He should be willing, I need to see if He has someone, not to replace a vacancy, but with which to start building a uniquely new thing, with new memories, and share the joys and sadness of life for the years ahead. I believe that a marriage is a true partnership, one that blesses and strengthens each spouse with the skills and talents of each, one that fills in the gaps for the betterment of each.
If it is not His desire that I should be blessed in this fashion, then I am content with the blessings He has granted me thus far, including my wonderful children, and those that I am faithful he will provide in other ways in the years to come.
