Faith statement : I am an independent Baptist. I believe that Jesus is God and has always been God. That he was born fully man who never committed a sin but died on the cross as a substitute our sins. Then he rose from the dead in 3 days. I believe the way to Heaven is grace through faith in Jesus and what He did. No works or any actions with a church required, not even baptism. I believe that you can’t loose your salvation but we should build and maintain a good and healthy relationship with God out of love. I believe in the 7-Days of Creation. I believe in the Rapture before the Tribulation. I believe the King James Bible is the truest Word of God translated in English.
What I think of myself : I am pretty introverted and take a while to become comfortable with most people. But after I connect with you I open up and am not afraid to speak my mind. I am a good listener though. I hate arguing but am happy to debate over any disagreements. I am not a thrill seeker. I like doing domestic things like watching tv with family, taking care of plants, and making things for family. I do like taking day trips every few weeks : such as going to Botanical gardens, zoos, markets, festivals, fairs, and more.
Likes : Church activities, pretty much any furry animal (hope to get a pet some day), trying out different foods both in the kitchen and in restaurants (I am a bit of a foodie), doing calm physical activities that aren’t too extreme (like rope course, kayaking, standing up paddle boarding, mini golf), board games (I can get a bit competitive), watching G and PG rated shows (I don’t like watching shows rated higher than PG).
Dislikes : Most reptiles and insects (especially snakes, spiders, and any others that are venomous), some smells (I have a sensitive sense of smell so strong smells, smoke, some drugs, and lots of alcohol make me feel ill), fast and rough motions ( I can’t ride boats or carnival rides for too long without getting motion sickness. Even car rides that are too fast or crazy can make be sick for hours), extremely hot weather (I get heat stroke very easily if I’m out in hot weather for too long).
Church attendance : I go to Sunday Bible study every week, but I watch the Sunday morning, evening, and Wednesday services at home. I am the type of person who if I sits for too long I either fall sleep or my mind wonders. So while listening to the other three services I do different things like baking, working on my crafts, or anything else I need to do at home. Bonus is that since the sermons are recorded I can pause them to discuss them with my family without disturbing anyone and we can rewind the sermon if we didn’t catch the Pastor’s meaning the first time or really liked what he said.
