About Me
Hoping for someone to hold/be held by, to help/be helped by. A real partnership blessed by God

Also someone bold who isn't afraid to send the first message!

Rather than have me say a lot more, I thought I'd ask my friends for help here:

This first one comes from a lady we'll call Sd, a friend from Church who I worked alongside at two of the Alpha courses we ran in 2022

"Michael is a person with a lot of love to give. He will do anything for anybody, he is a loving, generous man with a servant heart. He has a great faith in Jesus and attends his church regularly and is very active in it. He is dependable, reliable, and trustworthy. He has a great sense of humour and is fun to be with. The only thing missing in his life is someone to share it with."

This one comes from an older friend we'll call Dn

"I have been churchmates and friends with Michael since 2014, including knowing him socially and conducting voluntary work.

Michael has many fine qualities. He is without exception honest, forthright and personable. He is highly focused and intense, which lends itself well to in depth conversations about a variety of subjects from politics to literature. He is generous with his time towards good causes, and is always good company. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would be friends again."

This next one comes from a woman by the name of Cn - an old friend from University

"What can I say about Michael? Well he makes a great conversationalist since he’s always interesting and likes to think deeply. He has opinions, some held stronger and more passionately than others, but he’s learned well how to take ownership of his view without sideswiping those who disagree or differ. I’ve always found him sensitive and engaging whenever we’ve diverged in view.

He’s been a friend of mine for many years, and I’ve always found him empathic and caring, with an uplifting sense of humour, authenticity and a boldness to "tell the truth in love' rather than only what I want to hear.

He loves to write, and he does it well thanks to a vivid and powerful imagination that helps him to rise above the absurdities of life. Commitment comes naturally to him, especially in his prayer life and his faith in general - which can clearly be seen in everyday interactions. He’s also very committed and persevering when he decides upon a goal. Once he sets his mind to something firmly, he’ll see it through to completion.

Michael will make you feel important special and loved. He has a way with words that will lift you up and cheer you up. He is attentive, caring and empathic towards his friends and no doubt will be even more focused with 'the one' for him"

This next one comes from another Si - A newer friend from my current Church community

"One thing is for sure with Michael: you’ll never have a boring conversation with him! He has a brain the size of a planet, so whatever the topic of conversation, he’ll know a fair bit about it and will have thought about it quite a bit too. He also has a great sense of humour … and a keen interest in flags! And anything to do with science fiction is his bag (it’s mine too). He’s a genuinely nice guy and has a sincere Christian faith which he applies to the whole of his life. I hope this helps!"

This is from Jy, another excellent friend from Church who is Si's spouse

"First impressions of Michael are: he’s tall, a Christian and autistic. As I’ve got to know him, I would also describe him as very intelligent, with a good work ethic; able to talk about most subjects; he’s a good cook and host; and a joiner-in with various social groups within our church. He’s creative – he designs his own t-shirts and mugs. He’s good at pursuing his goals – I was impressed with his weight loss over the last few months. He thinks deeply about theology and social issues, though can be an over-thinker. But I really enjoy his company and very happy to call him my friend."

This one is from Li - another old university friend from Le Continent

"Michael is one of the genuinely kindest people I've ever met; he's very caring about his friends and is always there when you need help or support, or just to talk about anything that's going on in your life. He's also one of those rare people who is genuinely interested in what others have to say and curious, rather than combative, about personal differences - in that way as in others, I think he really embodies what a Christian should be.

Michael is an endlessly sociable, cheerful person who can talk about almost anything in the world - he has a very broad range of interests and is always happy to learn or read more about any topic. (His love of airships, especially, is legendary!) He's also one of the most creative people I've ever met and never seems to run out of ideas for stories or podcast or other projects, which I think is a really fun and enviable quality. With Michael around, things are never boring.

In short, Michael is just a really nice, smart, interesting, lovely human being. I would wholeheartedly recommend getting to know him!"

This next is from Mt - a newer friend from my current Church

"I have known Michael for about two years now, and I think he’s a wonderful guy with a heart of absolute gold. He is so mindful of people’s challenges, and is always extending a helpful hand when they need it.

I also think Michael has a super quirky personality that the right person will come to love and appreciate. He is a nerd, just like me, and so we can get into very deep topics about various things from popular series. He’s never one to have little to say, especially about the deep dives in nerd culture. I’ve found that it brings a depth and joy to much of our conversations, especially as this also translates into how he relates to others about faith."
First Date
A nice restaurant or cafe somewhere, followed by a romantic walk. A film before would be nice, just so we can both discuss/dissect it afterwards.
