Which is a more desirable husband?(Question for you women)

Is it desirable for you to be married to a man who believes he hears a message from God then goes to the scriptures to determine if it was indeed from God? Or do you desire a husband who believes he hears a message from God and immediately begins teaching others it is the correct way, before he ever searches the scriptures? What say you ladies?

BTW, I have no idea why I added (Question for you women). That's a little redundant. Silly me

Man who studies the Word of God; He also follows the Word of God. He knows how to be a Godly Head with God leading Him. Making the final decision is for the Man not the woman.

Is this a continuing thread or what!

No ma'am! This thread is not about submission, but thanks for your thoughts on it. This is about which husband out of the two examples provided, do women most think is following God. Which one would they desire more?

To add to this...Do you ladies think the husband in example #2 could maintain unity long term in a marriage?

Context, context, context... A man who refers to his Bible for wisdom and words of truth does make a very desirable husband. If it was the latter, than you could have a husband who could potentially believe in unicorns and magic pixie dust because Peter Pan said so... Far off example, I know. But some of the stuff that comes from the pulpit nowadays isn't much better.

"To add to this...Do you ladies think the husband in example #2 could maintain unity long term in a marriage?"

From observing my own parents, they didn't have much "spiritual" unity when my father became more open about being Christian Reformed. My mother, on the other hand, had grown up with her father being a Methodist preacher and has always respected and taken his word on biblical matter. Understand of course, that my mother never had someone question her own beliefs, let alone her husband. Won't go into the differences between the two denominations, but it's those differences that caused frustration between my parents. Until my parents sat down and read the scripture together and eventually got to that common ground, they didn't have that complete unity with each other.

Now I suppose that if the different views were more opposite of each other it could potentially lead to divorce. Or perhaps if the woman is just like her husband and are on the same page together nothing would be questioned... Who knows. If there is a conflict between a husband and wife regarding the topic, they need to pray and ask that God guide them to a better understanding of His word. I think it is possible to have that long term unity, but only through Christ. If neither party is willing to change... then nothing is going to or get worse. But most definitely before one starts preaching on what he believes, he needs to crack open his Bible and have the support of the scriptures.
