And has it really made much difference in your quest for what your heart is looking for in a gal or guy?

Is MORE better or LESS for you?

Just wondering ...

I'm on a couple of sites at the moment, as I had been in the past, but how successful you are or are not in your searching for GOD's BEST for you seems limited by how much free time you have to check on each site and write to the gals you're attracted to, chat on the forums etc ... :hearts::hearts::hearts:

I had an OkCupid profile for a little while, and I think I still have a PlentyofFish profile. I'm not really actively doing the online dating thing anymore.

Has anyone at least semi-successfully used eHarmony? I was always curious how good that site was.

I'm on CDFF and OKCupid. I've not had much luck with either of them. I made a good guy friend on here (we met in person after a year of online conversations), and I dated a guy from OKCupid for 3 months. Other than that, no luck. The forums are great here, not so great on OKCupid. The match questions and percents feature on OKCupid is good...IF both people have answered a decent # of questions.

I know someone who met her husband on match.com, but I don't know anyone who's had success on eHarmony. My cousin has had both free and not-so-free accounts, and said that OKCupid has the not-free sites beat as far as features go.

2, and No. It hasn't made any difference.

It takes a LOT of time to search through profiles, pray about them, wait, discern, write to the person, etc. etc. I don't spend much time with that kind of thing any more.

I like the Forums here as I get to read and talk to men and women all over the world with different backgrounds, cultures, ages, viewpoints, etc. Not many sites have that.

Did not really care for e-harmony, maybe because everyone they matched me with was in 4-5 states away, or another country just about.

If you are looking for a site that does a good job of matching someone up, then eHarmony is for you. Just be prepared to not match anyone. They will only show you people who are an exact match. I was on the site early on and only received 6 matches in 6 years, and like Violakat, they were all several states away, and none of them would talk to me.

What the site does is give you a personality test very similar to the Myers Briggs test combined with a love language test, and then matches you up by education level and income earned.

Also, they don't take eveyone. They feel that very needy people, or people who suffer from depression are not good marriage material, so they won't even match you up to anyone.

I have had a number ladies interested on a dating site for horse lovers, but I am to cheap to up grade so I can answer them. Plus I am a little cynical ; Some sites try to trick you into joining by sending you fake messages.

I like it here; I have found out the hard way that unless you have Jesus in common you really have nothing in common.

This is my only one because it has some of the best folks on it. A lot of the forums really crack me up too.

Tulip, I started out on singles sites trying out e-Harmony, and signed up for a year's membership there ... was hopeful toward a few of the matches who replied to my e-mails, but usually they only responded a few times or IF we went almost "all the way" to e-mailing outside of the eHarmony "safe e-mail system" my matches there decided for one reason or another, sometimes MOST suddenly and surprisingly to me, to use one of the eHarmony crafted "reason excuses" that said why they didn't feel we were a "good match", so ... I felt, over-all, too frustrated and discouraged using eHarmony to renew my subscription when the year was up.

I also enjoyed being on Christian Mingle and CDFF a few years ago ... met my ex-fiance through Christian Mingle, actually, but have enjoyed being here on CDFF the most for the same reasons that others have shared ... mainly, the quality and fun of the chat forums here!!! :yay::yay::yay::applause::applause::applause:

At the moment, I'm also trying out Dating For Seniors, Match.com and Chemistry.com and deciding on whether or not I'd like to or should upgrade at either of these. I've tried out Plenty of Fish and OKCupid too, but decided not to continue being on both of these sites ... I'm feeling the strictly Christian sites are the best choice too.

I have a plentyoffish and Okcupid and have had absoluetly no luck. Same as this site. And i had an Eharmony for awhile and had no luck with that. Guess its me, either that God is putting a guard over me so the second time around it will work out.
