Sure, she can pray for him til the cows come home, but during that time, someone has to take care of business. During marriage: If the husband won't step up to the plate, SOMEONE has to, and that is the wife, otherwise everything falls apart. This can lead to resentment since the man isn't doing his part in the marriage according to the Bible. Being single: There IS no one else to step up to the plate, so the woman must handle everything herself. I would love to meet someone who is so strong in the Lord that he would be the man of the house, but I tend to pick up on men who need (or want) a mommy instead of a wife, which really irritates me. I have a tender heart but a very strong personality. So, through life experience, we as women become independent out of necessity....then we are to become quiet and submissive? Show me a man who truly knows how to be the head of the household and I will show you a woman who will be his helpmate and not try to take over. *NOTE: Sometimes a man DOES know how to lead, but for physical reasons or whatever, he is not able to. There is nothing wrong with the wife stepping in and helping. Post Reply
