In the book of James, chapter 1, verses 22- 25, it reads :
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your
own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a
man beholding his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth
therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this
man shall be blessed in his deed.
This being true, should righteous men consider women professing Christ to be deceived, if they refuse to acknowledge, obey, or conform to 1Timothy 2:8-10 and 1 Peter 3:3-6, once they have been lovingly taught and exposed to these spiritual instructions?
Should women be avoided, who show very little, or no concern for modesty, shamefacedness, and sobriety, or who express dislike, or negative comments towards these verses?
The verses read as follows:
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting.
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest
apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair,
or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good
works. 1Timothy 2:8-10
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the
hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not
corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is
in the sight of God of great price.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who
trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their
own husbands:
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord: whose daughters
ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any
Yes... I agree of what you have posted about the word of God in Ps. 19:7-10
That the law of the Lord is perfect, pure that stirs up the soul . In Joshua 1:7-8. Be strong and be very courageous. Be careful fo obey all the law of my servant Moses gave you: do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. The word of God is like a honey that as we read and study the word it become more sweeter and sweeter...Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Yes.... I really believe that every Christians or people belongs to God will live according to the Word of God to please our Almighty God. We must be doers of the word of God not hearers only. Live what we preach, learned and heard from His word. A man and woman of God that walks what he talks. Apply or put into practice what we have learned, read from His Word which is the Bible the Holy Word of God.
We must offer our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God for this is the reasonable act of worship. We should not follow the behavior of this world but we should be transformed by the renewing of our individual minds. Let the fruit of the Holy Spirit manifest in our individual lives which is love, joy, peace, long suffering, meekness, gentleness, kindness, faith and self control.
Our life will never be the same again. There should be total transformation.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another :glow:discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 1Corinthians 12:8-11
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:28
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, :glow:which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:17
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a :glow:discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. :waving:Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we
Your unselfish comments exhibit true faithfulness and loyalty to Jesus Christ. I find that to be very rare in this site. There have been over 100 views of this post, but you are the only woman thus far to comment from the word of God, without getting personally distracted. May God continue to bless you in all that you do for Him :waving:
"Proud people take great notice of opposition and injuries, and are prone to speak often about them with an air of bitterness or contempt."
Now, I refer you back to your response to Archimedes:
"Thank you Archimedes,
Now can we hear first from the REAL LADIES IN CHRIST?"
In one post, you have appointed yourself as judge of her.
God created women as a helpmeet for men. To think otherwise is an error. Women are not chattel. The one religion I know of that thinks that way requires women to wear burkas.
I did answer you. Your question was: " Tell me more about this special insight you have from the Lord that allows you to judge me and my motives based on two posts."
I simply answered you, using the word of God, which gives me this insight.
The damsel you feel is in distress, and which you have attempted to rescue (Archimedes) is a man.
If you want me and others here to consider your post as a legitimate unbiased righteous analysis of the situation, then at least do it in a righteous manner, so that you don't come across as a hater seeking kudos (glory) to impress the ladies here.
I would comment gladly on what you wrote, if I had discerned that you were not harboring some personal bias or grudge.
Since however, your conduct and attitude reflects this, I will not address the fullness of what you wrote. As the scriptures say:
Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not
in him the lips of knowledge. Proverbs 14:7
Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. Proverbs 22:24-25
If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or
laugh, there is no rest. Proverbs 29:9
An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in
transgression. Proverbs 29:22
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. James 1:16-20
SELAH
I welcome your accusations of hypocrisy, because wisdom is justified of her children. Matt. 11:19
