Ladies, what are the main things about a guy who is mentally ill which are acceptable and which are deal breakers for marriage.

Being shy? Poor? Slow in thought? Awkward? On disability?

On the flip side I find many women creepy. Many are loud and suffocating, mean spirited, phony, and make hissing-like sounds.

What's up with the hissing? Am I the only one that notices this nerve-wracking hissing?

Anyway, if you can give me your opinion thanks.

Aside:80% chance the hissing problem is me but surely someone else notices this too?

I dunno, sounds like he's "manning up" to me. Even with disabilities he is stepping up and facing them, even actively pursuing his goals. I think the only danger would to to use his disabilities as an excuse to be complacent with what this sinful world has cursed him with. Use your talents and multiply them! I know we're supposed to consider a person's position, but there is no display of strength greater than someone moving forward through their problems and I believe there is no excuse to stand by and bury whatever talents you have been given, no matter how small they appear to be. Even if you can only smile, you can change someones life, and most importantly, your own life. Anyway...that was an semi-irrelevant rant...sorry. I just know how easy it is to make excuses to bury what I've been given. I've been given so much and I abuse it and am so horribly weak and ungrateful for it, so anytime I see someone pushing past their weaknesses and gaining strength/faith/character...I'm impressed:rocknroll:.

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

I apologize rose for calling you rude or insulting you. I can understand your point now.

Life is full of complex difficulties and I get frustrated with so few real answers and the confusing things I deal with.

Yeah I do need to consider not just my position but also the other party's.

It is funny before I turned 30 I never even cared about getting married. Now I have this creeping desire to get married.

The point about not succumbing to the temptations inherent to my position was good and very thoughtful.

Me attracting codependent women-yes I could see that happening.

I'll consider posting some questions for the guys. Thanks.
