kezza12 View Profile History	How may email do you get? Posted : 23 Aug, 2010 06:05 PM Recently, I get very few. But when I was newer on the site I got a lot. Here's my mini-soap-box rant. Spell check. Yes, seriously. Now, my profile is pretty lengthy, and if you take a moment to check my stats you'll notice that I'm a teacher. When men send me messages that say "Hey grl. Wassup. U lok lyke a qt. Heres my #, give me urs and well msg" I don't think it's ridiculous to ask for some basic application of grammar. That may make me a snob, but I'm also a ninth grade English teacher. I tell my students, "A little proof-reading goes a long way." Honestly, most women I know want to date a man we think is smart, and messages like that convey the exact opposite. Either you can't spell, or you don't care enough to type real words. Also, to echo everyone else, ask some questions, start a conversation. Ignoring what a huge snob I sound like in my last point, I tend to be a sweet heart. I'm really chatty and I will respond. Unless you ask for my bank number or social security number, or your a Nigerian prince, then I won't. Post Reply
