So, like in real life when a woman gives you 'a look' subtle hint type thing (not the angry kind), is it the same online? An invitation to talk to her? Is there something there? I know, I know, me dumb guy. :goofball:

So tell me...how do you give a "dude, you are dead meat look" online? Not that I have anyone in mind to give it to, but it might come in handy some day. :peace:

I figured tax ladies already knew how to give the 'you're dead meat look' in cyberspace by using the letters I-R-S

What is a "stealth Mode"??????????????????????

Stealth mode:

Go to the mail settings section. There is an option for Allow a member to see that I viewed their profile:

You can turn that off, and then you can view everyones profile and they wont know it. Since the setting takes place right away, it easy to turn it off and on so that you can specify who sees and who doesnt.

I keep mine in stealth mode all the time. If I see someone I am interested in, I will simply write to them.

I wouldnt take the fact that someone looks at your profile as The Look. You can tell from some of the people that have asked here that they dont know that they can go incognito. I think that if they start looking the second or third time, then that might be different.

A slight deviation if I might?

So what does it mean when a guy looks at my profile pretty much daily? We talked once, and he seems like a nice guy. However, he hasn't contacted me since. He just keeps reading my profile. Thoughts? Ideas?

Elisa, sounds like the guy is really shy and just not sure how to proceed. I know I have messaged women and asked them a question trying to get a conversation going. They will answer my question, but not ask any questions in return. I might be interested in them, but I am not sure if it is worth the effort to try again, if they are only going to answer my questions and not ask any in return. If they dont ask me any questions, it feels more like an interrogation than a conversation.

I dont know if that is the case with you, its just a thought.

He must be a really shy guy if he keeps looking at your profile but never messaging you. Either that, or he has a very bad memory. If you find him interesting, you might want to send him a message.

Another slight deviation: why would a guy put you on their list of favorites, and only have viewed your profile once or twice, and never once contacted you? I don't get that!

Godslamb, tracking someone down can be a bit difficult sometimes, so if you see a profile that at first seems interesting, you would put them on the favorites. But, when he came back and looked at the profile again, he had second thoughts, but was too lazy to remove you from the list.

There is a lot of information that I would like to know about someone before I seriously would like to purse someone. Most profiles are sorely lacking in information, so, of course, the only way to find out is to ask a series of questions that basically feel like an interrogation. They may see something in your profile that catches their eye, but leaves a lot of questions, and they are not sure if it is worth the effort to find out more, so they put off contacting you.

If you find him interesting, drop him a message and say hi.

So much heavy thinking going on...and then there is me...LOL!

I have all kinds of people listed as my favorites, but NONE on purpose. I have a touch screen and sometimes I accidentally touch wrong when I am trying to scroll or make the screen bigger and all kinds of things happen including "favorites". And I have never taken the time to figure out how to clear the list.

= )
