What percentage (roughly) of the messages you get are from "creepy guys"?

I agree with tulip, I lack the creepy messages, but in abundance of lame messages. And what type of things make a message creepy anyways?

About 1/3, but lately CDFF is doing a great job of blocking them, often before I get to read them.

Looney, from my own experiences....You know they are creepy or something is wrong, if you see their message in your inbox, don't read it and go back to find out they were banned.

You know they are creepy if they tell you things like:

"I have never seen someone so beautiful as you"...

"Sorry if this sounds too sexual but".........

"Would you have sex before marriage if we fell in love and were committed to each other?".....

"What's your real name?" (in the beginning days) :stop:

"What city do you live in?" :stop:

"How far do you live from me?" (first contact)

"Do you want to move to Yahoo chat?" :stop:

"Hi! You are so sexy.....I just had to tell you how sexy you are? Can we chat? :boxing:

Their pic looks like a jail line up shot or they are wearing a dirty "wife beater" tee shirt while sitting at the kitchen table with a beer in their hand.

They are way younger than you and want to hook up.

BTW Looney, that adorably, cool kitten picture should get you some lovely messages. Love it! :applause:

Joey -- those are great.

I also like "I just signed on and you are the first person I saw!" or a variation.... "I just created my profile and found you right away! You must be the one for me!"

Also, asking things that are CLEARLY stated in my profile ("What are you looking for?" "Are you married?" "Where do you live?")

And, the perennial favorite.......... (drum roll, please)........ they copy and paste their profile text into the message. Don't say anything more than Hi. Don't ask any questions. No, no. They just copy and paste and press [Send]

GL, thanks and you just pointed out another one that I had happen two days ago.

He was very nice, short and sweet, and then asked me what I was looking for in a guy. I did not respond that night because I was tired and thought, "He probably didn't read my profile at all, like so many guys have told me...

Well, the next day I check my mailbox and he was banned. I so like in-person meeting people but it's kind of like selling a house. The Realtor says, "you just need that one right person."

In every dating site there will be a few creepy creeps creeping around. Ignore them.
