Who is your favorite woman in the bible, and why?

I think my answer would be Ruth.

She was so loyal. She was special. I don't know, I just like her relationship with Naomi and Boaz.

I probably should of said Mary, Jesus' mother, the obvious. I just wanted to "think outside of the box." I liked Elizabeth and Hannah, too. Martha's sister Mary seemed really awesome. And that lady who stayed in the temple and praised God for the latter half of her life. Can't think of her name right now, but wow! She was so ...wow! But okay, okay, I'm still pickin' Ruth.

It's funny though, because as soon as I hit SUBMIT, I'll probably think of another great woman who's my favorite.

I like this post because each one of these women set a great example for us. I love how Esther was so courageous and faithful to her God. Deborah had guts and led the army to victory as a mighty woman of God. Mary the mother of Jesus stood her ground as the loyal fiance of Joseph in her calling in life and risked being killed. So glad she did not chose abortion! Jael was brave and nailed the dude to the ground, wow! Sarah was a great example of a loving wife and leader along side of her husband. Ruth followed her mother-in-law after the death of her husband and found love again. I love them all....

I guess Rahab and Mary Magdalene touch me a lot because of their sinful past and yet, turned away from it all when they felt the incredible love of their Savior. Rahab was the great grandmother of Jesus and that right there proves that ANY woman can change. Selah~:purpleangel:

I agree with you when you said....

Amen! I'm sure they had to push through the ugly judgement of others, but the Lord loved and restored them. Hallelujah!!
